I'm.. writing a review on purpose because I tried alot of chapsticks & thats exactly what they are,just wax and coating but this one has the right texture,moisturizer,and a lip balm thats not sticky,to soft and not flavored with sugar.I'm doing a review because I was overly impressed with this.This is what it says it is and feels good on your dry or even blistered lips,Definitely purchasing more .The midwest is brutal in winter if you work outdoors alot.

This is creamy and moisturizing, not shiny and sticky. It is healing and soothing with no smell or taste. It is PERFECT. It is the best and I've tried so many. If the chapped area extends past your lips, you can apply this and it sinks in to soothe and protect without looking shiny. You can feel it there, but you won't see anything but hydrated, protected skin. I had a student who was a chronic lip licker where her lips and surrounding area were very red and chapped. Mom tried everything. I gave her a tube of this and I swear, the next day the red was cleared by 1/2 and after a few days her lips and surrounding areas had healed. This is after months of suffering and pain for this poor child.

This lip balm is great. Since getting braces, my lips have been extremely chapped all the time, So I've had the opportunity to become a bit of a lip balm critic. After trying several in the past month alone (I tend to lose them), This Nivea ranks at the very top for me, for several reasons. The Good: This Lip Balm feels extremely "rich." It goes on smooth and even, smells mild but pleasant, and most importantly, Moisturizes my lips very well. I especially like how it doesn't make my lips appear greasy, but I can feel it on my lips for quite a while after application. I really only feel like I need to apply every couple of hours. It feels coating, but not cumbersome, and doesn't have any irritants in it like Camphor that tends to make my lips Itch and burn. Even when my lips are peeling, this balm doesn't sting, which is actually quite the feat, but maybe my lips are picky. The ingredients I have to say have me pretty impressed. Beeswax is the 2nd Ingredient, and Shea Butter is the fourth, which is great to me. In fact, there are only 8 Ingredients, which is very low for a Balm like this. The Meh: I guess I'm not blown away by the Packaging. I really like the overall design of the tube. It feels thick and durable, and the extra width of the balm makes it apply better than some of the other options, but I have 2 annoyances. -The first is that the lid of the tube is a little too short to allow a bit of balm to stay deployed without gluing itself to the top. The balm hasn't broken on me due to this, but you will see a little dent in the top of the balm if you keep it too high in the tube. This is not a major concern of mine, but it is annoying that I have to keep the balm a bit lower in the tube than I'd like. It may not bother you, but if it were just a hair longer, this wouldn't be an issue. -The next is that on my tubes, the tamper proof seal was not aligned, so after I opened it, it kept interfering with me closing the tube. You can fix this easily by removing the tamper proof sticker, but it leaves a residue that is sticky and can catch lint. This is minor, but it's a review after all, so I figured I would mention it. The bad: Honestly, nothing about this balm is bad! In summary, if you are looking for a nice, premium feeling, silky balm, that doesn't irritate your lips and leave your lips greasy, I'd recommend this balm. I think for the price, it represents a great value and I will happily buy this item again!
