Great quality
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Excellent Quality – Perfect for Professional Dermaplaning! As a licensed esthetician, I’m very particular about the tools I use—especially for dermaplaning—and this scalpel handle exceeded my expectations. The weight is perfect: it has a nice, heavy feel in the hand that gives me full control during treatments, unlike the flimsy, lightweight handles I’ve used in the past. It feels solid and professional, with no cheap or hollow sensation. The grip is comfortable and balanced, which makes precise movements easier and reduces hand fatigue during longer sessions. It also holds blades securely, so I never have to worry about slippage. My clients get amazing results, and I truly believe this handle plays a big role in that. If you're in the skincare industry and serious about dermaplaning, this is the handle you want. It's durable, reliable, and makes every treatment feel elevated. Highly recommend!

Great handle
Great handle for dermaplaning. I used these with a 10R blade and they are weighted and great quality by Swann-Morton.

Hefty
The heft is perfect. One can easily balance this handle on a single finger. The metal feels solid and does not appear to be hollow. The weight is significant for an object so small, assisting in the direction of the blade. The contours on the handle are very useful for grip, and the designs are a nice touch. Number eleven blades will fit perfectly. The handle is wide enough for users with large hands to grip it without fatigue. Overall this is an exceptional handle suited to any task a scalpel can perform.

It holds scalpal blades securely.
Just what's on the tin: I use this to hold #10 blades that I use for model building. The handle has good weight and balance and holds the blades securely. One of these and and one box of blades will last the average hobbyist a lifetime. This was the only readily available scalpal handle, and I most assuredly did not one made in China. Let's face it, I am not trusting a chinese-made handle to hold what amounts to a one-inch razor blade that I am using to poke and prod and slice right next to my fingers. Now the price on these has jumped, and I think I paid about half of what they're going for now, so weigh your needs appropriately.

Solid medical implement, well made and seems to be strong
My only criticism is that an installed blade is not perfectly in line with the handle - It's off by a couple of degrees but that's understandable for a mass-produced item that has not been hand finished to perfection. I could probably correct it by heating the metal and bending it, but that's not worth the risk. It's quite usable as it is. Installed blades are held solidly in place. I have confidence that any cuts made with this handle will be well controlled. Reasonably priced for a professional grade implement. I would buy it again.

Now, its fair to say that I'm not a brain surgeon. More of a mechanical one that furtles around the insides of large marine engines and boilers hoping to resurect the dead before the storm hits. However, I am a model maker and of course sharp cutting devices are essential for a clean finish. Now, many of us use the Xacto type knife which, works very well indeed. However, the blades whilst not exepenive are not that cheap either. Step forward the surgeon's tool of choice, the Swan-Morton surgical knife. Comfortable to use and most of all you can get boxes of the disposable blades - which are damned sharp - for not much money. A 100 pack is only a few quid so you can always ensure that you have a razor sharp blade in use when working on your model. As far as I'm concerned for model making this is a no brainer. Always going to be sharp, cheap to buy and if you ever get the itch to change career and take up open heart surgery then you will have the tool skills already ingrained.
