A miraculous little lens
Tiny, cheap, slow, plastic kit lens. Plus a plastic mount. And collapsible. Sound like an optical disaster waiting to happen, doesn't it? Surprisingly, this mini-wonder flies in the face of expectation, though. It might be all of the above, but it's also surprisingly sharp, feels fine and is wonderfully compact and convenient, ideal for general walkaround use. Just goes to show how well Nikon has totally nailed its Z-mount lenses. I haven't come across a duffer yet, and this is my 10th try. They range from very good to spectacular.

Great value all rounder
This is a quality lens that's lightweight but robust, smooth to operate and zoom, and good value for money at half the cost of equivalent non DX Nikon lenses. The quality of the photos is first rate and as good as more expensive lenses. It's fine for landscape and wildlife photography, performing well in low light. It's a great all rounder that doesn't break the bank.

Nice lens but the rattling is a bit concerning
Bought this for my Nikon z camera. Seems to work well but is a bit plasticky and there is a slight rattling. I have kept it and will try to get some use if the sun ever comes out again. Thank you to all of the responders to my questions on Amazon that allayed my fears that I had a faulty lens.

Good lens
I use this lens all the time, more unusual results than a standard go-to lens, (50mm etc). It has good results landscaping or close up, (ie. Jewellery), quick shots, street photography, portrait. I leave it on my Z6 all the time. You don't need the hood, (although I have one in case I may at anytime), it is good with any light. I use my Z6 creatively in all situations, & have had good results with this lens at night shots using every trick the camera can pull with strange exposure/shutter speeds, F-stops & ISO speeds etc. Good to go on manual setting, not bad on auto too in different situations. One thing I noticed when I first got the lens & attached it to my Z6 was it wouldn't function correctly focusing, & recognising the camera. You have to update the firmware if this happens to you, it worked with me & I haven't looked back since. I would recommend this tiny little lens as part of your camera bag, for what i've shot with it it really is well worth the money, & it isn't that expensive.

A good lens to add to your standard prime lens
Having just purchased the Nikon Z FC camera I got a prime basic lens with the deal. While I was satisfied with the camera I needed the flexibility of a zoom lens. Having used it a couple of times it a useful lens to have around. It’s compact and lightweight and easy to attach to your camera. I’ve just started my 364 project and this is helping me to pick up some interesting photos.

Surprisingly, an excellent lens
You might wonder why, in the title, I say "surprising". Let me tell you. When you open the package, you see a very thin lens, plastic, by the looks of it. Which, as most of us DLSR/Mirror camera users know, is not something we see on expensive lenses. See attached photos. Lighthouse ones taken at the 16mm and 50mm extremes. No filters used. Anyway, that aside., I stuck it on my Z50 and took it out on our first outing since lockdown to Rye. Overall, I thought the results were very good. Also, the lens is so light, it adds practically nothing to the overall weight of the camera.

作りがチャチだけど、欠点らしい欠点はこれだけ。 軽いしコンパクトだし安いし、何より写りが良いし、カジュアルに撮るには十分すぎる性能です。

Love, love, love this lens. It certainly was a big step up from the kit lens that came with the Nikon Z30 mirrorless.

für den Preis ein sehr gutes 16-50mm Objektiv, welches ich an einer Nikon Z6 im Einsatz hatte. Die Ergebnisse haben mich erstaunt und die Bilder waren alle knackscharf. Super Teil
