Cook too slow

I bought two of these for use at our church's kitchen. These are really well constructed and look really nice too. They make a ton of rice, 20 japanese cups which are a bit smaller than our size cups. But when it cooks you get about twice that much which is great for large groups and events. Cooks quickly and keep the rice warm without burning for hours. Clean up is quick and easy. We use them at least twice a month and this brand is quality! I have two at home which I have used for years without any problems.

I ordered this rice cooker for our restaurant business and it stopped keeping warm after 10 months. I called Amazon to get the warranty information. Of course, it doesn't cover after 30 days and 6 months from the manufacturer. However, when I called Zojirushi, they gave me the service repair center on Oahu and told me to send the rice cooker to them for repair. My business is at a standing still waiting for their mercy. We mailed the rice cooker to them and I called them everyday to check on the status. Finally, the Post Office made the delivery, but the Service man refused to accept the package and said it was too damage to accept. It was returned to our restaurant in a perfect condition box without any damages and the rice cooker was fine. This is beyond ridiculous for a well known manufacturer for the kind of service they provided and the unacceptable product. I have spent countless hours trying to get this fixed and back to square one again.

I use this cooker for cooking a multitude of grains in my small cafe. In the morning I do steel-cut oats and then keep them warm in the chamber. I cook grains for salads in the unit and it treats most perfectly. I add spice and only rarely get any scalding.
