I've owned this inflatable boat for almost 10 months now and have used it a handful of times. I've put a friend, me, and a backpack filled with food and water on it (which may have been 400 to 500 pounds); I've had just me on it, and it's handled all of it well. Having two people on the boat does require one person to sit with their legs crossed in order for both people to fit comfortable, and if you're taller than six foot then both people would have to have their legs crossed in order to be comfortable. I have a total of ten or so hours using this boat, and I intend to put more hours on it, but it's easily worth the money. I've taken it on a small lake in Illinois and a few lakes in Arkansas, and it was a joy to use every time. I've beached it onto small islands a few times and carried it across them, and it handled that well too. I would get a better pump then the one the kit comes with, a cheap bike pump makes inflating this take a few minutes versus the ten or so minutes it takes with the one this comes with; I got one at a thrift store for a few dollars and it made using this much better. The oars work fine and you can treat them a little roughly in order to go faster or maneuver tighter, but stronger oars would make going faster better; If you only intend to row at a manageable speed then the oars it comes with are good for that, even if you have two people in the boat. Overall I would recommend this to someone who wants a basic inflatable row boat in order to get out on the water and have some fun; if you want to go fishing or do anything extremely strenuous another boat may be a better choice, but for the price point this one handles great and out performs what I expected it to handle. It is not comparable to a kayak so do not expect to get a kayak's worth of performance out of this. It's easy to throw in the back of any car and get out on the water pretty fast and have a lot of fun.

I have been using Intex Seahawk 2's for years for fishing. They do get holes, they do leak a little. They do wear out, but for the price and convenience (rolls up to the size of a sleeping bag and fits in the trunk with ease) they are great little boats. I can row about as fast as the average kayak and I can row far in these boats. Typically I will row about 5 miles while fishing. They do not tip over, unlike a canoe or some kayaks. Helpful hints: 1. Buy a better pair of oars. I got a pair of oars from Intex like 7 years ago for $16 2. The pump it comes with is pretty good but get a Coleman rechargeable pump or something like that. 3. Make a seat ... you will slump down a bit with no seat. I put down a cushion life preserver and put a seat on top of that. Very comfortable and you will sit up higher. 4. I made a storage platform for the back. Very helpful for small cooler of beer and other stuff. 5. Keep a repair kit in the boat all times. With Tear Aid B and Air Stop you can fix any hole in about 5 minutes. 6. Always bring the Intex manual pump with you. You can put air in the boat while you are in the boat! I am 6 feet 2 inches and about 225 lbs. The boat will loose some air after awhile out on the water. I take a minute every two hours or so and add a little more air to top it off. You can do this will all three air chambers. Sometimes I go out for 6 or 7 hours and when I get back to the boat launch my boat is perfectly full of air just like when I first left. Basically, I put my boat in my car in like April and leave it there until about November. I always have my boat! I don't need to drag it from the back yard or wherever and put it on the roof of my Honda Accord. I takes up so little space, even if you have a small car you can just leave it in there. Very convenient! Just remember, leaks are very easy to fix with Tear Aid B and Air Stop (use them together). Tear Aid is a patch for PVC and dries instantly. Air Stop is glue but dries extremely fast. Just a minute or so. Cover the hole with Tear Aid and go around the edges of the Tear Aid with Air Stop. These boats leak a little air through the valves but like I said just bring the little Intex pump with you and put air in the boat whenever you feel it needs some.

Our first one was a gift, we bought our second one in 2018. We are extremely rough on these and have torn up two now. Now in 2026 debating on getting a 3rd one or not. It's cozy for 2 adults (~120 lbs and ~200lbs), the silly little sack on the inside is shockingly useful, it's lightweight and nimble enough to maneuver in the water and even a person who isn't super strong can easily move it about. The paddles are better than no paddles, and are also nicely lightweight, but they could use to be bigger in order to be actually useful. The pump is terrible, get a real one. In the end though, it's not super durable. If you're serious about being on the water in any way I'd look for something else. If you're looking for cheap entertainment or don't plan to use it too much, it's fine. I think my biggest issue is that I'd pay quite a bit more for this EXACT same thing to be made out of a MUCH more durable material, even if it was a lot heavier, but it just isn't made! None of the heavier duty models quite fit our needs and are 4x the price, so this may make for purchase #3...

To confirm, the boat I got is the Seahawk 2, 2 person. It so far seems to be a good boat. It did take about 10 minutes to inflate, have to pretty much pump at a good pace. The pump that came with it is better than I expected. The 3 air chambers inflated nicely, made sure the Boston valves sealed, they have a rubber gasket. The material is quite thick. At about 85 degrees in direct sun, I do expect it to appear deflated after it cools down. Checked the main seam all around for defects, looks good. I'll check it later to see if/how much pressure it loses, update then. Comfortable to sit in. I think it's good! My dog will be riding with me, I bought a thin yoga mat to protect the floor. Now, for what could have been better out of the box. The "French oars" are, well, flimsy and insufficient unless it's for kids just playing around close to shore. Not strong enough for meaningful rowing. One of them also has quite the bow to it. Basically, they're cheap. I'm using my kayak paddle. The "grab line" that's included is pretty wimpy, and mine is also frayed in a spot. No worries for me, I have a better braided cord to use. Why 5 stars? I don't think you can beat the quality of the boat for under $100. I'm aware from reading reviews some people got boats that leak, hopefully Spreetail addresses quality control. The oars and the line? Fine if it's used as a toy. I'm not gonna get all mad and send everything back, I can easily remedy what I don't like. Spreetail could, however, do better on those 2 items. Overall, so far it's worth it. *Next day update: no leaks after setting 24 hours, good

Have been enjoying this boat all summer long! Very happy with the purchase. Inflates and deflates with ease (pump included). Love that you can break everything down and pack away. Has held up quite well so far, no issues. The only thing that its missing is a cupholder! But overall, a fantastic little boat. Would definitely recommend.

Theres so many mixed views on this boat of how long it takes to fill. It seriously took me 10 - 15 minutes to fill and like 5 min to deflate. The boats amazing. I took my girlfriend out on it the first time. Theres enough room for two people for sure. We had towels in the middle. The only issue is if your a tall person like me (6 feet 4 inches) it might be hard to row with the knee's in the way depending in how you want to sit. But I found a way. The boat feels strong with thick meterial. I cant wait to bring this thing more places. Going to the cottage soon and will be bringing it up. The best thing is. Its easy, light, and nice to pack. Doesnt take much room at all. For the price this boat I would give a 10 star. Its thick meterial, easy to fill/deflate, can have more than one person. Maybe a small child in the middle. Overall its just an Amazing boat especially for the price. Warning: Bring life jackets/preservers if going on a lake/river or what ever. Since its a boat you can get tickets. Second: If you attact a motor you need a license to drive the boat if your born after 1989. I was born in 1993 so I needed to take the class. You will get a ticket and my family found out the hard way. Have fun everyone..

This rubber boat works OK, which was a pleasant surprise because everything about it seems flimsy when I took it out of the box (especially the oars and air pump). But it held up fine in the water (very calm pond). I would not want to try it in rough waters because it is awkward to maneuver (not like a rowboat, more like a kayak) but in calm waters it is OK. The two Boston inflation valves work fine and are easy to use but the valve for the floor is a different kind and very difficult to use. There were detailed instructions on how to use the Boston valves but nothing on the third valve. I finally had to force the pump hose into the valve and was surprised it didn't rip the plastic which would have ruined the boat. A WARNING: in my opinion there is no way anyone should put two people in this boat especially if they are clumsy or overweight. The boat probably won't sink and if you are experienced in handing a small rubber boat you can probably keep it stable in calm waters but there isn't even enough room physically for two people and no room for even a small amount of gear (fishing or other). Any false move in an overloaded boat could be a disaster. Buy a bigger boat if you want to use it for two people. Also, do not take a dog out in this boat. They could easily capsize it or punch a hole with their claws either by jumping out into the water (dogs in boats like to do that) and then trying to claw their way back into the boat once they are in the water. Dogs left on the shore may jump in and swim out to the boat and trying to claw their way in over the side. The boat could tip and throw you into the water or the rubber could be punctured by dog claws. Buy a wooden or aluminum boat if dogs will be involved.

I love this little boat. I use it on the lake for fishing and it has been awesome, its lets me fish in spots the i normally couldnt from the shore. the oars seem flimsy but i have had no problem with them, i even use them to push me off/on shore. i have had this boat for about 4-5 months and used it probably around 20 times. i recently got a small hole and i mean tiny(more like a tear, probably from a fishing hook) in the side. the boat comes with a patch kit but i just put a small piece of duct tape over it and it still worked like a charm. I have had two adults in this boat multiple times, with two people it is a little cramped but is still usuable for fishing(with two people its best to sit sideways with you feet/legs hanging off the side), for one person its a great size and i can basically lay back and fish. (do not forget to have PFD's for each person in the boat even if your in 3 ft of water or you will get a $130 ticket from the game warden like i did! >.<) Like it says it will still float with just the inner chamber inflated, just makes it alot harder to get around (they day i found out there was a hole). The only negative about this boat its pumping it up, its takes about 7-10 mins, it says to never use an electic air pump (even amazon tries to sell you one?).deflation its very easy although the floor chamber takes a bit of effort to deflated cause you must pinch the hole to let air out. for the money this boat has made my fishing so much more fun!! o and if you use it like i do, dont forget you'll need to buy a little anchor, i use an 8 lb mushroom anchor with just some regluar string to conserve space, i dont know what kind of string it is but it looks likes a big roll of shoe string, it was on the same aisle with the anchors at academy.
