The 3 lb. box says "chopped onion" and the 2 lb. box says "chef's cut' -- what is the difference? Thank you.

I have the chopped. The pieces are a little bigger than minced onion. They are about 3/8-1/2" long. Very fresh and fragrant. They store well in a tight container. I use them a lot in roasts, spaghetti sauce, any recipe that needs onion. You can also reconstitute them in warm water.

What size jar do I need for this 3 lb size?

There is a some left after you fill a 1/2 gallon canning jar
