Went to the orange box store looking for a long dryer cord. I had 3 people looking for them, of course they didn’t know exactly where to go. 🙄 after the hunt we arrived at the peg that had only 3 to choose from. And all of them were $25+ I said to them these are all too short (5ft)! 5ft which would be fine for a normal house but this was for my kids 1940’s house. His laundry room was a sunroom at some point and whomever did the hookups put the 220 box about 5ft off the ground and in a corner. Of course the washer has to go in the corner because of the water hookups. So I needed a 10ft to reach all the way over and up. Of course the orange box store employee says they don’t make them that long! It’s nice to be able to have a correct answer to a problem within 30 seconds these days. I showed employee that he was wrong of course I get the...,oh well, I wasn’t sure. It’s like if your not sure of something just say you don’t know. Anyways.....after 45 mins of driving to store and useless talk I ordered from amazon for $20. Great price! Got it Friday! No thrill seeking adventures just a bag of 10ft dryer cord. Hooked it all up and is working great in my sons new (old) house. The end.

I bought a house and decided I needed to move my dryer more than 4ft away from the outlet, the original cable was only 4ft long and extension cords for extra heavy duty cables like this are very expensive. This is a great value, an is very easy to install as you just replace the existing I hook connections with this cable. It is definitely easier to install than the U hook lead ends on some similar products.

I used the cord for my dryer because we decided to stack the washer and dryer and the cord I had was only 3 feet and not long enough for this. So I purchased this cord to replace since it was longer. I noticed right away that the cord felt a little less sturdier than the one that was being replaced. I went ahead and put it on the dryer and then started using the dryer as normal. The cord was getting pretty warm to the touch and then POW!! The electricity arched and it burnt not only the cord, but the outlet as well. It for snuggly into the outlet so I know that it wasn’t because it was loose or anything like that. I have had a new outlet installed and plugged my old dryer cord back into it and it is working fine. I requested a replacement from Amazon and hopefully this next one will work and not burn my house down as this one almost did.

TECHNICALLY THERE IS NOT MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS DRYER CORD BEYOND THE FACT IT BOTH INSTALLS AND WORKS EXACTLY AS EXPECTED. THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE CORD IS EXCEPTIONAL. THERE WAS NO FUSSING WITH UNWANTED FEATURES. THE CORD IS BOTH THICK AND DURABLE. THE CORD WAS MORE THAN LONG ENOUGH FOR MY NEEDS. THE CORD IS PACKAGED IN AN ACCESSIBLE WAY. BEST OF ALL MY DRYER IS WORKING WITHOUT ISSUE AS A RESULT OF THIS NEW THREE PRONG DRYER CORD!

This cable is identical to the shorter power cable previously on our clothes dryer. The washer and dryer in our home are side-by-side and sit in a tight alcove. Both machines are front loading and they are tall since they are mounted on top of pedestal drawers. The short power cable prevented the dryer from being pulled away from the back of the alcove. Also, we could not easily access the behind the dryer to clean or access the vent conduit. It was difficult get behind the dryer or unplug the cable. This new cable has the additional length that allows easy access behind the dryer.The included instructions were clear and the installation took about 15 minutes.

This was absolutely fantastic, a 10 foot long 230 volt cord. I hooked it to the appliance and plugged it into the wall. Voltage shot down the copper conductor and energized the equipment and away it went. This was a thing of beauty, I wish you had been there to experience this exciting event. It was a wonderful day.

The conductors should be parallel with the cord, not perpendicular. It added needless frustration to installation. That said, I love every one of those 10 feet! Also, given that installation is only 5 minutes of my life, not really a big deal, just seems like thoughtless design.

This 6 foot cord has made life easier and safer. The 4 foot cord that came with the dryer was just too short, and when we partially pull the dryer out to clean behind it the original cord plug pulls out half way from the receptacle, exposing the terminals while still plugged into power. Then we have to pull the plug out with the terminals plugged, such unsafe scenario. I had to replace the short cord with the 6 foot cord, no other option. It worked great and was easy to do, with the cord UNPLUGGED from receptical. You can do it easily.
