Amazing book
Highly recommend; as women the earlier we can learn about holistic ways to prepare for fertility the better. Wonderful book

This should be a high school textbook
A beautiful, hopeful, empowering approach to preparing and optimizing your body for fertility and overall health. I wish I had this book in my 20s, but as a 40 year old it gave me so much hope that I still have time to have a healthy, natural pregnancy (or multiple!) and I have the capacity to cultivate the environment for it.Pregnancy/fertility aside, it also takes away the shame surrounding periods/womanhood/the female body that is so prevalent in western culture. Instead it views how powerful, intelligent, and creative we are as women. The female body is not something to hide, shame, or be viewed as an inconvenience! This book should be a high school/college textbook! I want to tell all of my friends about it whether they’ve had children or not. I want to give it to my nieces and my future daughter(s).

Good but very hetero
Appreciate the cross cultural sourcing of information but wished it wasn’t from the standpoint that it’s readers are solely heterosexual couples. When it comes to fertility and LGBTQ visibility in this day and age, aren’t we way beyond that?

Dirty on the outside, inside in good condition
The description wasn’t the same as the condition of the book. The interior of the book was cared for.

So glad this book was written
This is more of a fertility lifestyle book, complete with beautiful photos, carefully chosen words, and inspiring quotes on the side bar. It is (intentionally) not much of a technical "how to" or "fix it" book, though the advise you will find in this book, if taken earnestly, is more potent than some are inclined to give it credit for. It was the perfect book for me to read and for that I am so grateful to the authors for collecting the thoughts and wisdom from lives' worked on contemplating human fertility. It enlivened in me the mindset I wish to have going into parenthood. For me, this book is summed up by this quote on pg 161, "We wrote this book so that every new recipe you make, every hard conversation you have, and every healthy habit you establish, will fortify your body, strengthen your resolve, soften your heart, and calm your mind-this is a deep tending to yourself."

SO GOOD!!!
I looooove this book!! Beautiful pages, delicious recipes, and practical knowledge! I have no intention of getting pregnant or giving birth anytime soon but instead like to utilize this information as a way to deeply nourish myself around my ovulation & support my fertility all around. The recipes, practices, & concepts within this book will enrich and enliven the health & vitality of your body whether you seek pregnancy or not. This would also make for a FANTASTIC gift to those that you love. Thank you!!

Beautifully Written
Keeping a warm and comforting mindset as women travel down the road to get pregnant for a lot of us it is not a straight road. Thank you for the insight and inspiring words to help through this journey!

Mostly fluff and errors, no valuable content... not recommended
If you are looking for TCM advice for women’s health and fertility, keep looking. This book his full of errors and omissions - both editorially and in content.I.e. the recipe for “black sesame rice porridge” does not have black sesame in the recipe. The “Jing chai life force milk” talks about the benefits of tumeric, yet there is no tumeric in the recipe. There is no index, so no way of looking up a topic or ingredient. And lastly, omission of vital details for herbs not suitable for common female issue, I.e. dong quai should not be consumed for those with heavy menstrual bleeding. No actual guidance/recommendations of what to eat during different phases of your cycle.Photos are beautiful, but the book is lacking value and usefulness overall. 163 pages of fluff, flowed by 57 pages of recipes, only a small handful worth trying - nothing you can’t find in other TCM books with more info on fertility and women’s health.

Wonderful book with lots of advice and full of warmth
I was so sad to finish this book but have marked so many pages and already returned to them multiple times. It's beautifully written - you can feel the wisdom and support of women across the world across generations cheering you on in your fertility journey. Highly recommend.

Beautifully written, as expected.
Dreamy just like The First 40 Days. Written with wisdom, sensibility, and beauty. I haven’t read it all yet, but I already love what I saw.
