According to the Aquafor website the Onyx jug does remove lead and other common contaminants found in tap water.

Q: how much water can you filter when open once? 1 liter? 2 liters? 3 liters? 4 liters?

You have to add around 3rd - just below the filter - this will usually give just under half a kettle of mine so twice to fill my kettle.

Q: How often do I need to change cartridge? My dial on the filter broke so I can't tell

Every 200 litres, but depending on your water quality I sometimes get away with 300 litres approximately. That’s about every 2-3 months.
