Kamado Joe Big Joe III review: This grill is very impressive. Extremely good quality/craftsmen ship. The most difficult part about the assembly was lifting this titan of a grill high enough to get it into the stand. Luckily, my father used to run a auto repair shop out of our garage, so I had an engine hoist around to use. Everything else goes together without any tools or screws. After I got the grill on the stand, it took about 20 minutes to put the ceramic plates and basket in and I fired it up. Temperature control is very easy on this grill since it has such a good seal. I cooked 2 ribeyes on this grill and easily maintained a temperature between 260-290f. After about an internal temp of 115, I pat the steaks dry and placed them on the lowest rack just above the coals. This produced an amazing sear. This honestly was the best steak I ever made. They were just regular prime ribeyes from the grocery store, nothing special. Every bite was tender and juicy. I think the reason this grill produces such juicy steaks is again, because of the great seal it makes. It's able to maintain temperature and maintain it's humidity. Premier Grilling review: I originally purchased this grill early June/2020 and just received it today 9/4/2020. COVID-19 completely disrupted the supply chain, so kamado joe was having trouble making the grill stands. Premier grilling kept in touch with me, sending an email about every 2 weeks to let me know where we were at in the process. Premier Grilling was also having live professional grilling teaching sessions for the customers who were waiting for their grill as like a thank you for waiting. About 3 weeks ago, amazon automatically cancelled my order because of the delay in shipping. I spoke to them to have me order reinstated, and they said once it was cancelled I would have to re-order it. I was worried because I had already waited almost 3 months, and I thought I was going to be bumped in the back of the wait list. I contacted Premier Grilling, and they were happy to take my new order and put me back in my spot. Near the end, I was emailing them once or twice a week for status updates, and I felt like I was getting annoying... but they maintained their professionalism all throughout the process. Overall, it was a great experience. Thanks Premier Grilling for getting this grill to me. Thank you kamado joe for making an amazing grill!

This review is for the big Joe iii - simply superb. This kamado grill and all of its components are pure quality plain and simple. Sure you're paying a premium price but you're getting premium quality... Stainless steel where it should be, aluminum and powder coated steel where appropriate. Good design and allot of thought went into every component on this kamado grill. I can't imagine where they can go from here. I hope they don't try to lower the cost be cheapening the components - if they do, this grill will be the Pinnacle of the xl series. The only slight criticism I have is for assembly they tell you not to use the hinge or handles to lift it into it's base, but how the heck are you supposed to lift this 200 lb beast into it's nest?? Well how I did it was I custom built a sling from nylon webbing material, then three people lifted it up and into place. If you attempt to do it this way, be sure to build your webbing so it supports from underneath and can't slip off. Also be aware that when you lift, the grill will be top heavy and wants to fall over, so plan for that. If I were to do it again I may have designed the webbing harness to be able to loop over 2x4s so there are four lifting points and you could squat lift the timbers and better handle the top heavy instability. Would be nice if kamado Joe included some kind of disposable lifting rig, but other than that I have no complaints. If you had a cherry picker that would be ideal... Don't take assembly lightly and don't be hasty - you need three people to lift in my opinion

I have never written a review before, but my experience with the Kamado Joe Big Joe 3 and Premier Grilling, LLC, necessitates that I put an end to that streak. My experience with the company, from start to finish, was nothing less than perfect under very much less-than-perfect circumstances. Brian and the Premier Grilling team were fantastic every step of the way. As for the grill--it's amazing. My only problem now is that I have a large Weber Genesis gas grill that I need to get rid of, because there's just no going back.

Overall love this grill/smoker. The SloRoller Hyperbolic Smoke Chamber works great, but is takes some time to clean after use. Also the charcoal divider works very well if you only need a smaller grilling area. Very happy with this purchase!
