Worth it
I struggled with a wired remote on my Nikon D500 DSLR, either sliding it into “lock” mode when pushing the shutter button or tripping over the very long cord. This wireless remote is a great alternative. It’s lightweight, reasonably well built, and has worked so far without failure. Highly recommended.

Works great.
I'm able to shoot still pics and activate the record button when my camera is in video mode. I can also do this from around corners, down the hallway. One thing to be aware of, on my Nikon Z6II, when in video mode, once the monitor times-out and turns off, the first click on the remote will will put the camera back on stand-by mode and the second click will start the recording. If the monitor is on, then it only takes one click to start recording. If you aren't sure if you monitor is on or off, you won't know whether to click the remote once or twice.

Wireless remote control for ease of use
For the price, this is a well made and easy to use timer remote controller and as a bonus is able to be used on both my Nikon D850 and Z6ii with a simple swapping of the twin cables. Contents comprise the on camera mounted trigger, cable x 2 connecting to camera, transmitter and user manual (5 languages). I particularly purchased this unit to undertake sequences of milky way shots at high ISO and lower shutter speeds using the intervalometer function with the photos processed via Sequator to get clean images plus stage 2- light painted foreground images at low ISO and long shutter speed ,activating the shutter with the release button. Being wireless means I can get into position for light painting with limited risks to self. Written instructions are reasonably easy to follow but there is a high level of familiarity with other brands I have, so this unit was easy to use. Haven't tested the claimed radio range but works ok at 15 metres, better if line of sight.

first impression
the build quality is nice. easy to set up and easy to use. didn't look at the manual but figured out all functionalities. back light is helpful at night. I got the dc0 and dc2 connector, so I can use it on my old D700 and new D780. I assume the battery would last pretty long. so far I'm happy.

I like it, but…
This is a very nice remote. I did find, however, that it would occasionally not engage at the bulb setting. I missed a few night shots I wanted while visiting Vegas and that was frustrating. Once I realized you couldn’t hold it against your side, and ensured the sensors were clear of any obstruction, things worked better.

Can not activate video record button
I purchased this to use on the video setting to record but this remote seems to only work to take still photos.
