VIOLIFE Just Like Mozzarella Shreds, 8 OZ

Like most Violife cheeses, this is a bit thicker shredded & a little firmer than dairy cheeses. It still melts well and the taste is a full cheese taste so you don't have to settle for something of lesser taste for plant based cheese. I find it takes just a little longer to fully melt if included in a casserole but that isn't a problem in the least. It tastes good on pizza and you get that melted, chewy taste everyone looks for on a pizza. Being what it is, it has healthy, high quality ingredients as do all the Violife products so you can consume them without worry. The flavor hits home when mozarella flavor is needed. Yes, it does cost more than dairy shredded mozarella but what I do is use it appropriately vs heaping it on so I get my moneysworth. It's worth the extra cost to me in order to get a high quality, healthy plant based cheese though.

At one point in my life I was very very heavy I could hardly walk at times and always had to have to sit down to take a breather I switched to vegetable cheese instead of real cheese and this seems to be a nice substitute and it also maintains my weight, just saying!

None of the vegan cheeses really taste exactly as described. But this one wasn’t bad. I have been using this brand since I became vegan and well there’s really no protein and it is all fat, it does the job and melts. The food taste good even if the cheese itself does not taste like much. I also like the fiesta mix from this company.

If you watch food commercials on TV it's evident that the American diet runs on cheese. So many amazing foods include cheese, are elevated by cheese - all that gooey, melty goodness! As someone who can't tolerate cow's milk cheese, it's crushing to miss out on all that tasty wonderfulness. In trying different options for plant-based cheeses, I've arrived at this Violife Just Like Mozzarella entry. The shreds to melt fairly well, and offer that creamy, salty, tangy flavor one would want. What most "alternative" cheeses lack is the ability to brown into a nice crust due to their chemical composition. For those with a lactose intolerance, a vegan lifestyle, or other health reasons to go with plant-based, non cow's milk dairy, this is one alternative that can help ease the challenge of missing out on "real" cheese.

Maybe not the greatest non-dairy cheese out there. But I think it is the best one that is generally widely available at a comparable cost to other brands.

The cheese is as it is tastes like mozzarella it's really good you put on anything even throw it in the salad tuna salad or ramp up a pizza you bought and say you want some more cauliflower pizza of course I just wish to come down with the price but other than that I have no complaints.

Amazing flavor and texture. I made pizza with cauliflower crust and topped it with red pepper hummus, olives, bell pepper, tomatoes, and this mozzarella.. it was so ding dang good that even our son who is the pickiest of eaters ate almost a whole thing by himself!! I also use it for tostadas and nachos.. melts beautifully and has a better consistency than regular cheese. A MUST TRY
