Rivera Sun is a powerfully inspired, and inspiring writer for all ages and groups
We are a homeschooling family that uses literature extensively for example and relatability based education sources. All if Rivera Sun's books, and poetry collection, provide these things. She writes unapologetically about critical human topics, but in a way that is so digestible that you feel INSPIRED, EXCITED, EAGER for the stories. These books are rich with all of those, and so very many more gems of wisdom, thought provoking questions, and adventure. They also serve to remind us that it does not matter who you are, where you e Bern, how big, not how small... we can all still be, see, do, live even more.I feel gifted for having Rivera Sun books not just in my home, but in my library, recently seen at my doctors office, and on a new friend's shelf.I'd like everyone to know of Rivera Sun's books, and if its left to my family, many will. We love them.

A feel-good book with a thoughtful message
A feel-good book with a thoughtful message. I read a lot of young adult literature. As a teacher of middle/early adolescents, it is important to me to read books that they might be interested in. I also just enjoy a good story. The way between is an excellent first book, though I am a little nervous about the production schedule for the following books. It does not seem like Rivera Sun is chopping at the bit to finish the series. That is my only critique as the book leaves you wanting more. So, please keep writing this series, Ms Sun! This is a story about what it means to be actively non-violent. It's a worthwhile message at a time when so much of the zeitgeist is polarizing

A wonderful, very readable book about non-violence without compromising values.
This book tells the tale of a resourceful young girl and her friends and mentor who stand up for themselves and for what is right, without violence but without being cowed. There is action, great character development, and many turns and surprises in the plot. And it is also the first of a series of 3 [soon to be 4] books that further explore these and related themes. None of this is treated superficially, and it explores many of the causes that result in the conflict in the first place. Hard to put down, and it wants to be read again [and by adults, not just kids] to get even more into the depths of the story. Outstanding read.

Rivera Sun is a treasure for our time.
I'm thinking of my students reading this book and wondering how young is too young? The overarching message is one every child should hear, preferably from birth. Could the Third Way take hold in our own poisoned, fear- filled, divided world? This first book in the series makes me hope so.

Adventure... with lessons for life.
I LOVE this book. I love that there is a book for young readers that has action, adventure and teaches such important lessons. It made me think differently as I approached challenges or problems, looking for the way between. It inspired me. I wanted to find the martial arts taught in the book, to learn them, deeply and use their wisdom each day in my own life.

I love this book! Great story, great characters, great message.
"The Way Between" is the first book I have read by this author, and I was not disappointed. I purchased the book as something to read with my children. I read it first and it has become my new favorite book. The story is engaging and we'll thought out. Some elements were a bit predictable, which for me was more comforting than boring (as it can be when things are too predictable). I loved the characters. The author really made them feel alive. But what I liked most was the message. Here is a fantastic adventure story in which to lose yourself, without the usual antagonistic violence. I can't wait to read it again, this time with my children, and let them see that there are ways to be powerful without trying to exert power over others. Despite its cost, I purchased multiple copies to give as gifts to my nieces and nephews.

For every age, both of a person and a time
I loved the sincerity of this book as well as the inspired message. I plan to read more of her titles. Glad to have discovered this fresh uncensored voice.

A hopeful peae_filled version of the hunger games
Already hoping it becomes wildly popular. Great weaving of war vs peace considerations, choices, reflection, learnings and yearnings within an epic story line. Finished it within an already full weekend and am on to book 2 with gratitude there is one.

A review
Beautiful simple story on one level, but so many levels. A story of radicalism but most of all about love.A must read for all ages, with so much to teach us. Gentleness and strength combine to make us what we are.A story of learning and development, from adolescence to maturity. One which is reflected in the real world. One of humanities present journey, bringing untold opportunities and eternal love to this planet and its life.

Ich habe es noch nicht gelesen,
aber ich kenne die Frau auf Twitter. Wir brauchen eine Welt, wo wir wieder miteinander arbeiten und nicht nur in Konkurrenz zueinander und für die, die uns ausbeuten.
