Autolite Xtreme Start Iridium Lawn & Garden Spark Plug Automotive Replacement, XST458DP

I've been searching all over and as of today May 17th, 2014, Autolite is the only company that makes Iridium plug for small gas engines. I bought this over a month ago to replace the Champion 5861 in my Toro 6.5HP Personal Pace mulching lawnmower. I've used it twice since then. It runs alot smoother and quieter, or shall I say, not as loud, and the gas lever on the push handle feels lighter. The mower also feels lighter when I push it. It seems like with the extra power, the self-propel mechanism doesn't bog down the engine as much. This is the perfect companion to 20oz of full synthetic valvoline 10w30 motor oil in the mower. I also use Shell 93 octane Super Unleaded gasoline. I let my grass grow to about 12" and with more power, it doesn't bog down as much. This plug model is quite standard and it also replaces J19LM, NGKB4LM, Denso W14LMU. Ditch those copper plugs. The description on this item a couple of weeks ago included "Pack of 10." Now it says "One Per Card." Amazon shipped me 1 spark plug even though all my correspondence had the Pack of 10 description including the packing slip. The Autolite catalog number is the one for a pack of 10, not a single plug. Amazon agrees with me and has placed another free order. I should receive it in the next few days, but I strongly suspect their fulfillment center will again ship one plug. I will update this review when I receive the next order. The price for 1 plug is ridiculous, and the price for 10 is great.Updated June 22, 2011As expected, the second order from Amazon also included one spark plug. Another complaint/email was sent to Amazon. I now have 2 plugs when 10 were expected. Amazon is being very cooperative so far. I am awaiting a response to my latest email to them. I always have the ability to refuse the charge to my credit card until this is resolved, but I am being patient for now. My billing cycle has a ways to go!Final Comment:Amazon is unable to process this order as originally submitted. They are refunding the full amount without charge for the 2 spark plugs shipped. I am fine with this. I understand their predicament. Keep in mind, the current Amazon description will get you 1 spark plug at the stated price. This is at least 100% higher that the average price on the internet for 1 plug.

No complaints. Just the tuneup I needed on my old snowblower

They run these on cars so they can go 100K between changes without wearing. But I wanted it for some antiquechainsaws where the flywheel magnet is weak compared to how they were 40 years ago. Those saws had sucha weak spark, even with new points/condenser, that they wouldn't start. Simply putting in one of these iridium plugs made them start right up.

you can buy cheaper plugs but this is the best and longest lasting.fixes hard to start lawn mower and fixed issue where if mower was ran would not restartAutolite Iridium plugs are hard to find local. Only plug I buy for small engines not sure why not used more.They make the sizes for lawn blowers and grass trimmers too. Dramatically reduces swearing.

Hard to find in the iridium version for my lawnmower in fact this is the only iridium made for it. Love, iridium plugs and its the only kind of plugs I buy. I get more power out of engine and easier starts. Great plug do not hesitate to buy. Definitely worth the price even if it were at 10 bucks a plug.

I decided to maintenance my Troy bilt (MTD) self-propelled push mower and thought these iridium plugs we're worth trying... It starts in half a pull now! Before it took two pulls if it means anything to you.

Premium spark plugs at a good price and free shipping, what's not to like.
