This is arguably one of the best ABS filaments on the market. It’s pure, without any additives, hence its thermal and mechanical properties are excellent for parts that need good temperature resistance.However, on the flip side it is difficult to print. You MUST have an enclosed printer that is able to hit 50-55c chamber temperature for it not to warp. Also little part cooling is needed.If you do have a printer capable to print true ABS this is a fantastic buy and great value for money. If not, choose another type of filament.

Used it to print Voron parts in an ender 3 in a pop up enclosure. And then used with my new Voron without issue.Kept it dry in a filament dryer, printed in a 50c enclosure at 245/100 and had great prints.Does absolutely reek thoughEmpty spool weight is 130g

If you like wasting your time , you get excited with disappointments … into warped things and even more into cracking .. this is the ideal filament for you . It was dried and used on an x1c printer ! So no reason for all the above . Don’t waste your money or time ..

The media could not be loaded. Honestly I wasn’t aspecting this bad quality from a brand like sunlu ! It’s unprintable! Received 5 of march 2025, dried for 8 h on sunlu dryer ! The moisture was on 70% after 5 h so after 8 h I give another 8 h finally I got 20%!Put on the ams and was printing so bad! And he broke 3 time took me 1 h to remove the broke pieces from ams and extruder ! I just thrown in the bin and I will buy again if I have same issue I will give 1 star for sure!

I decided to give the Sunlu ABS filament a go.First impressions are good, It arrived on a plastic reel and vacuum sealed with silica gel.The fresh blue reel of ABS, in its bag with silica, I printed it at 205C - bed temp 0C - no part cooling.It flowed well and unrolled from the reel easily and was well spooled.One of my main concerns was the smell of ABS whilst printing as it can be very pungent and not nice, I was very surprised by this SUNLU ABS no smell at all, it was a real pleasure to print with this filament.Its a nice blue, its actually quite deep as you can see from the photos. I quite like this though as you can actually see the colour. Its nice when you want to show off the 3d print process without spoiling the final effect and it matches the spool.This is a very good filament that prints well, and I will be considering using again.

The SunLu ABS filament is very strong when printed out, fantastic for items that will have a "hard life" in the real world.You will need a printer that can supply the power and heat that ABS requires, both at the nozzle AND the printers bed.ABS is known for warping if not in an enclosed space, and this can lead to failed prints because of this, so it is advised to buy, or build a printer enclosure.SunLu ABS filament is great to use on my Creality Ender-3 S1 Pro printer for all the tough jobs that you have in mind to print out. If your printer can heat it, this is a great filament to use.
