Don't have to be British to love this book
I am a person who enjoys a good laugh, but rarely gets it these days from media. Then I found this book. There were laugh out loud moments throughout this book and it was a joy to read. Actually, several of the situations mentioned I have experienced in real life, and I think a lot of readers will relate. If you need a refreshing break from daily life, get this book.

Great little passtime, terrible ebook formatting
I hatted reading it. Every paragraph was different size. Some couldn't even fit on my Kindle page. If it wasn't funny I wouldn't even bother.

Makes me laugh every time
Recognizing myself in 90% of the VBP’s described, I feel utter kinship with all things Brit. I first discovered VBP through the hilarious television series narrated by Julie Walters. The book is just as fun and funny. Highly recommend both.

Fun, quick read
This humor book about quirks of English people was amusing, especially if you get the Kindle version for 99 cents--not sure I think it is worth the $12 paperback price. The illustrations were quite cute as well. Actually, though I'm not English and have never been in the UK, I found a lot of these traits applied to me. I think what the author is describing as British traits are really descriptive of reserved/quiet/introverted people everywhere. I laughed out loud at the author's description of getting angry when somebody tries to get on the elevator while you are trying to get off. That's me! What is it with these mothers who press their strollers up against the door and try to get on as soon as the door opens, and are shocked, SHOCKED, as if it's a foreign concept, that there are already people on the elevator who are getting off? This is a quick read; a good train or airplane book.

Love it!
When I was on holiday in Scotland, I would have the TV on in the background in my room at the end of the day and it was either the TV version they made of this or 8 out of 10 Cats Do Countdown, so when I got home, I figured, why not see about the book....it's all I could have hoped for. Hilarious, and very astute observations. Love it!

Great book for understanding British Culture
This book is hilarious especially for me being married to someone who was raised by parents who immigrated from London in 1946 after the war. They had children later in life (age 37) and was trying to raise little British subject in America in the 50's. It was an eye opener for my spouse read which gave him insight into understanding why he is the way he is.
