This is a great and bargain version of my usual Dutch oven choice, Le Creuset. Looks great, so far no complaints about function. Only question was I thought Lodge was a USA made product but the box said Vietnam?

Hands down, Lodge is the finest in Dutch Oven cookware. I made Cheeseburger Soup in one pot! Start to finish. It cooked evenly, completely, and looked so nice on my stovetop. I purchased it in STORM BLUE for contrast to my very white kitchen. But really, you can’t go wrong with Lodge. Cleanup was a breeze because nothing burned or got stuck to the bottom. I did a little babysitting the stove, but this was my maiden, breaking it in adventure! Oh there was some ground beef residue on the bottom while browning it, but with hot soapy water and a soft scrubby, it melted away with no soaking, hard scrubbing, or cursing. Be prepared though as the cookware is quite heavy. But that’s the Lodge quality shining through. The inside bottom is slightly curved which helps with cooking a variety of dishes like my soup. I’m thrilled with my first Dutch Oven purchase. If you enjoy cooking and desire stovetop or oven cooking options from a single pot, get a Dutch Oven!

I LOVE, Love, love this Dutch Oven. I love the color that I got and I love the roundness of the bottom part which makes it easier to sauté. The weight is manageable and the handles are perfect! The price is great too!! I never write reviews but felt this deserved one.

I would say this could stand up to the best quality brands out there. I haven’t had this for long (month maybe) and have used OFTEN. I bought the cream color, it cleans beautifully. Love that it came with rubber clips to protect edges during storage. DON’T THROW THESE OUT. You want to keep these! It heats evenly and doesn’t scratch my glass top range. The metal knob on the lid makes it perfect for the oven as well. All around fabulous product! Very high quality. Beautiful too!

This Dutch oven is my new favorite cooking implement. It’s the right size for stews, soups, and chili, and it cooks evenly and efficiently. Not only that, but it looks beautiful on my cooktop!

This pan is a positive visitor to my kitchen stove. In reality, nothing beats a LeCruesset product but realistically they are beyond most budgets. However, the Lodge brand is an affordable workhorse that does the job consistently well, holds the heat, and is easy to clean. I particularly like this model because it has a flat bottom but rounded sides that make it more effective when stirring ingredients to prevent scorching. I may buy another one in a different size for smaller recipes.

I recently upgraded to this Dutch oven and I’m thrilled with the decision! I’ve been using a cast iron Lodge Dutch oven for years, which I love, but keeping it clean and properly seasoned has always been a bit of a hassle. This new Dutch oven completely exceeded my expectations. I made a pasta dish as my first test, and it was perfect—no sticking at all and the heat distribution was incredibly even. It is on the heavier side, so that’s something to keep in mind if weight is a concern, but overall, it feels sturdy and high-quality. Definitely a purchase I’m happy with!

Oh my goodness, do I love this pan! This thing is so easy to clean! I have made soups in this, I’ve used it to smoke chili, put it in the oven. It’s so sturdy! I love cast iron, and having it coated makes for a great non stick option, plus it tastes clean and not metallic. I have not had any issues with it chipping. Product came very well packaged. The 6qt pan is perfect for a big batch of chili or stew. It is heavy.

I have a cheap stove, so it's not easily possible to stew things at lower temperature with regular pots. The heat dissipates too quickly, so it just stops simmering. Not with this pot: It has amazing heat retention, so it has become indispensable since I bought it. It is extremely heavy though, which is to be expected by such a large mass of cast iron. Maybe it can double as a makeshift bomb shelter in a pinch. I guess any dutch oven has to measure up to Le Creuset, which I don't personally have any experience with. However, I can see that the Le Creuset costs at least twice as much on Amazon. I doubt that it can be twice as good because this pot is damn near perfect. At 6 liters, it is a bit too big for two people, but that's hardly Lodge's fault. Only disadvantage to me is that the lid edges are kind of rough so they feel like unglazed terra cotta. That means that putting the lid on, taking it off, or moving it makes a scraping sound which I personally hate more than nails on a chalkboard. Fortunately, the lid is very heavy as well so it's not like you move it around too much. I'm kind of blindly rating its taste though. I have not tried eating it because I find cast iron too hard to chew, but I have to assume it's delicious.

Love this, bakes bread & great for casseroles etc keeping everything lovely & moist.
