WaNaHong Samyang Hot Chicken Flavour Ramen 2X Spicy (Pack of 12)

These are the 2x spicy noodles (red packet), not the 1x ones (black packet) that people go mad over on YouTube claiming that they are so hot.The 1x ones are not that hot. Spicy yes, but pleasant and enjoyable for someone who enjoys spicy food, perhaps like a good Madras Curry. These ones by comparison are still nice to eat and not real melt your face off spicy, but they definitely leave a good firm tingle and make your nose run and you have to go a little slower when eating them.They are easy to cook and you can add bits and bobs to make them more interesting, perhaps scramble an egg in the wok whilst the noodles are cooking (then remove once cooked and re-add at the end). Alternately throw in some peas with the noodles and cook them at the same time for a bit of colour. They are also nice with a handful of frozen prawns in with the noodles / or direct to wok whilst the noodles are cooking. Just make sure you throw some stock into the wok when transferring the noodles or they stick (even with oil). There are different views around the family about how thick the sauce should be reduced down to for maximum enjoyment. I like it a bit saucy so that its over everything, but there is a little left in the bottom of the bowl at the end to finish off with for that final kick. Others like it sticky over everything with nothing in the bottom.They are very nice for a quick lunch and a definite favourite in our house. We've eaten a lot of them since first finding them early in 2020. We started with the 1x (black ones) when we wanted to see how spicy they were, but after a couple of packs we went up to the 2x (red ones). We now keep both types in so you can mix and match.The general view is if you want a real blast, go 2x spicy (red) but if you want a quick lunch without too much drama. go for 1x spicy (black).The top tip is to let them cool for a minute before diving in, that way the thermal heat doesn't detract from the spicy eating pleasure, since there is a lot of thermal mass in them.

I think I am Carzy for this noodles now. Excellent flavour, spicy is just correct if you love spicy spicy. The noodles flavour is so just excellent that I wouldn’t love without it having every week. Prices are also excellent than supermarkets itself.

I loved it, the flavour is probably one of the spiciest noodle flavours I have had to this day, it is really fun to experiment for cooking as well allowing to make your own type of noodles giving great flavours.

Order came early and was exactly as described. These are my favourite noodles. Great value for money.
