Stand alone experience at a bargain price
25x100 binoculars offer a "stand alone" type of experience for the amateur astronomer. Sometimes with telescopes and binoculars, a simple "step up" in size is more of a LEAP up in what you can see. This is one of those occasions. You "know" you're not really seeing in 3D, but yet you think you are anyway. Yes, these need to be mounted on a heavy duty tripod and head but the views are worth it. Yes, the individual eyepiece focus is more inconvenient for terrestrial viewing, but way better for astronomical viewing. I've only had the weather here in the NW to get them to dark skies once but what a treat when I did. Sure, I viewed my usual M37, M38, M15 , clusters, and Orion and the Pleiades. But I probably spent most of my time just scanning the sky and starfields. Using both eyes and not having to squint is so relaxing, you really want to take your time and not just hunt down the next target. Just don't skimp on your mount. Oh, the Barska 25x100's arrived collimated and in perfect optical condition. They're a bargain.

Very good quality.
Dont let the price fool you. These are very good big eye bionoculars. The alignment is perfect. They are heavy you need a strong tripod. I returned the Barska tripod because not strong enough.

Looked at a nearly full moon and saw a nice crisp image with very little chromatic aberrations(false color)
Don't know what is up with the negative reviews. Bought these anyway. It is a Ba4 out of China. Very high quality binocular. Mine arrived in a well padded carrying bag. They were in collimation when they arrived. These binoculars have individual focus, waterproof, and nitrogen purged. On the United Optics website they state these are fully multi coated. Judging by the views looks to be the case. Looked at a nearly full moon and saw a nice crisp image with very little chromatic aberrations(false color). Also looked at Orion Nebula, Pleides, and Andromeda galaxy with them. They have excellent contrast and are great for star gazing. I have several pair of binoculars and am an experienced observer. These are a big step up from the basic Skymasters or X-trails. Well worth the additional expense.

Very large and heavy. But worth it.
Can really see all .. bright and clear love them even though they are so heavy the view is worth the weight.

Don't buy this product!
Received these binoculars today, as I was unpacking the product and started to lift the protective hard case out of the box it startedto fall apart in my hand so I had to quickly hold the bottom of the case with my other hand to keep the case from breaking apart andto keep the binoculars from falling out. Once I got the binoculars out of the broken case I noticed the poor quality textured veneercovering the body of the binoculars was starting to lift up and is pieced together near the top corners, I have never seen such poorquality binoculars until I purchased these so I'm returning them right away.

Great Glass
Before you purchase 25X100 binoculars, read some articles on what components are required for superior binoculars. Then go to United Optics web sight (Kunming, China), and you will see all the models being sold under various trade names in the US. United makes virtually all of the 25 X 100 binoculars competing for your purchase. When comparing these you will note that their BA4 series aligns with the Barska Cosmos line. You will discover that BA4 is better than the other lines. I have used the Barska Cosmos 25X100 on a Ravalli video tripod extensively and have nothing but praise for the ability of this glass to bring definition to breaching whales far out at sea, and roaming grizzly bears two miles away. Image resolution 3X greater than those of spotting scopes with 3X the power. The Barska case that comes with these is cheap, and I wouldn't worry about that. If you want to get something this good elsewhere, you are going to have to pay several to many thousands of dollars.
