It's a tad bigger than a standard NHS hearing aid and therefore more noticeable. However, it does work better than I I expected. As per other reviews, it amplifies ALL sound so that background noise will get louder thus, in noisy environments, it may not actually help to hear conversations any better. For watching TV, improving ability to hear others speaking (in relatively quiet environments) etc. it works surprisingly well. If just used for 2 - 3 hours at medium volume watching TV etc. then battery would probably last approx. 4 - 5 days before needing charging. If used all day (12 hours +) then it will need charging overnight (battery won't last for following day without charge). If used at higher volume setting then battery life would presumably reduce, but I doubt many would want to use it at higher than a low/medium setting. I have NHS hearing aids but bought this as a spare as I have become prone to losing them after the introduction of face masks (have a habit of dislodging hearing aids). If you are bothered by having an aid that is noticeable then this probably isn't for you. If you want to hear TV at a volume that doesn't annoy others in the household, then I think it's worth getting one (or even 2).

They work, but the sound quality is poor. They don't last either, so I recommend you save your money & buy a better one. They also fit extremely poorly & fall out constantly

Bought this for my nan to try as she has problems with her hearing. She was provided with a hearing aid before but it was one of those tiny little in ear ones which are great if you don't want anyone to see you have a hearing aid but not so great if you 90 and have to change a fiddly little battery every couple of weeks and the controls are tiny.We had tried for a while to get her to get another more suitable one but after the troble she had with her original one she didn't want to 'waste' another couple of hundred pounds on something she didn't think she would get on with anyway.After finding this one we persuaded her to try it out as an experiment as it was cheap and she has got on extremely well with it to the extent she is happy to use this rather than buying another 'proper' one.Without the hearing aid she has the TV up so loud we can't hear ourselves think, with the hearing aid she has it at a normal level.Without the hearing aid an outsider might think she is ingoring us as she pays no attention to conversations going on around her, with the hearing aid you immediately notice she is following the people talking and chipping in with conversations.She feels happier with the hearing aid in as when people were talking to her she would often just nod along and smile out of politeness and she had mentioned she was worried she would do that one day when someone was telling her something bad but now she can hear what people say she doesn't have to worry about it.The controls, while still a little small, are easy to see and manipulate.The fact you can just recharge the hearing aid rather than having to constanly buy new batteries is not only ecological but much cheaper and a lot less hassle.There was originally an issue with the in ear piece coming out occasionaly but it came with a number of 'ear buds' like in ear headphones do of differing sizes and we seem to have solved that issue by using a different size one.

New hearing aid supplied good/However, I have been dissapointesd with you previous supplied hearing aid by newears I had a faulty charger, this was advised by me to you many times with no results. I contacted newcare in USAthey were most helpful and advised that a replacement would be forwarded, as yet no replacement has beenreceived. So I am most dissatified with your response.Peter Cohen

I did not like its size. It does the job though.

We bought this hearing aid for our elderly uncle thinking it would be a pair, unfortunately we opened the box and only one hearing aid inside, just wish this was made much clearer before ordering, it seems to be helping our uncle whose hearing is awful without any type of aid.

it comes in a nice box. but there is no UK plug to charge with. the USB is a VERY tight fit and feels like it will easily break.it works well on low volume but is not easy to fit as the lead from amplifier to earpiece is quite short.

Product arrived on time, is more comfortable than imagined I am a bit fingures and thumbs however I am managing. Charging cable would be better with another 6 inches on it and charging connection would stand improvement and Indication of correct way round. would help.
