I bought one of these, and it's been on high for the last 8 hours and feels barely warm. How long until fully heated?

In the winter my house is cold, I keep my heating pad on the medium setting and my heat strip on the kombucha jar says 78 degrees. You can't go by how hot the pad feels, your jar will feel warm if the pad is working .

can this be used with a 2.5 gallon jar for continuous brew?

It won't work as well with 2.5 gallons. It's designed to be used on a 1-gallon jar. That being said, you will be able to raise the temperature with the wrap on high - it just depends on what temperature you are going for and how cold you keep your house. Also, keep in mind you will have to find a way to secure it as the strap is designed to fit around a 1-gallon vessel. Thanks for the question!!

Does this come with a temperature gauge?

You bet it does. The temperature gauge is an LCD gauge that will stick to the side of your vessel. Thanks for the question!

Is this ul or etl certified? i don't like leaving electronics on for long periods of time if there are no safety standards in place.

I don't know, but I do know that it's perfectly safe to use constantly and for consecutive batches since that is what I did these past cooler/cold seasons and shall do again these upcoming ones.
