Great machine. Keyboard is good
I've had this for a couple of months now. Great machine.Keyboard is good, display is good, touchscreen is good. Sound is reasonably good. Fine for movies and occasional music. This model is the I7 processor, 8GB RAM, 1 TB SATA hard drive and DVD optical drive.Love having the DVD drive and it's becoming rare.15" screen is great for at-home use and bridges the gap between a PC and a laptop really well for in-home use. It's plenty speedy although I'm not running Photoshop or gaming on this.

It's a good computer for the price!
This computer was actually for my cousin, so this review will be short, for I haven't used it for more than 30 minutes:This one feels great on, the touchscreen is responsible, and for the use that it's gonna get, it's a great device, it's working great, and the boot time is great for not having SSD. Besides that, it seems that everything is working properly, with a great built.

Complete garbage.
Just as the title says. It is complete garbage. If you don't want to read my entire review, just know that: The display hardware is fragmented, and constantly crashes. The battery life is just horrible, and the customer service from dell will make you pull your hair out. 0 stars if I could. All I ask is that you let me brief you of all the bad things about this laptop, and then you consider if you still want to buy it. No, I don't have any pictures, because all I would need to do is take a photo of the rubbish. Same thing if you ask me.The Outer Hardware:The product comes with 2 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.0. I plugged in my mouse into the USB 3.0 slot, and when I tried to take it out, it got snagged in the body frame, thus breaking my USB dongle for the mouse, thus rendering it useless. Thank god it was just $20, however that is still money down the drain. The keyboard is cheap and flimsy. In the middle of the G and H keys, there is a bit of a hump, which is quite annoying. As you type on the keyboard, you can just see the flex, and really shows off how cheap of a product it really is. The laptop I received, did have a back-lit keyboard, however the time-out on it was about 3-5 seconds to help save on battery life. I thought that was really annoying during the late night typing, as I always had to touch a key to relight it. The lid on the laptop is a bit sharp towards the rear hinges, as it is made as a separate piece. Looked more like a bad haircut if anything. The bottom access port is very flimsy. Any attempt to even try to open it will either strip the screws, or crack the plastic base. Or realistically, both.Software/Chipsets:Windows 10 home, nothing too fancy. Because it is a 1920x1080 display, most icons and browsers look zoomed out, thus making it feel a bit more roomier than what is accustomed too. The intel HD Resolution software does interfere with games that haven't been optimised to run beyond 1366x displays, and if you do, it cuts frames out, making the games look even worse. Even beyond that, it crashes every 10 minutes or so. The screen blacks out, and then recovers after crashing your program. Have a nice day! The AMD Radeon GPU isn't anything fancy, and definitely not built for hardcore gaming. Seems like more unneeded hardware that has separate bloatware.Battery Life/ Detailed Specs:Battery life was horrendous, I was clocking in about 2-3 hours of real world usage. A power hungry i7 Processor that runs at 3.00 GHZ (even though the chipset is supposed to be maxed at 2.7GHZ) when web surfing really does burn out your battery. Pretty useless for it to be a laptop at this point. The 8GB of DDR3 ram is also pretty much useless unless you really do some hardcore editing.Weight/Touchscreen Functionality/ Windows Real Sense Camera/Heating:The weight isn't terribly heavy, 90% is just due to the amount of chips, weight from the cameras, and HDD. Can still be portable if you really want. The touchscreen is functional, no issues there. The Intel real sense camera is a bit noisy, but has great visuals during low lighting. The computer really didn't heat up too much, but you can definitely tell that it runs warm.Overall take this review with the sense of mind that this is what you will be expecting. Sure not all laptops have the same issues as mine, but just don't say I didn't warn you.

Excellent choice for fully loaded Full HD laptop. Highly recommend!
I have the refurbished i7 16GB Full HD version, and after 5 days of use, I can confidently vouch for it being an excellent affordable choice for a "fully loaded" laptop including the latest 3D camera with RealSense by Intel. I compared several similar 15.6" units from Lenovo, HP, ASUS (that were similarly priced new or refurbished, and had a DVDRW), and preferred the velvety feel of the surfaces surrounding the DELL keyboard, and the feel of its touchpad and keys. The touchpad on the DELL is a lot more responsive and confident in feel than the current model HP Pavillion, for example. So is the overall housing design - the HP is actually a bit "cheap" in feeling, which is a step or more back from my 4-year old 17" HP Pavillion DV7. The Lenovo and ASUS models still don't match up to the build quality and feel of the DELL. In general the other competitive products don't seem to be designed and built as well; the DELL has no ugly seams and appears to be robust while slightly heavier than some of the others. Backlit keys are a luxury feature, great in dimly lighted areas. Refurbished product seems to come with a lot less bloatware. Battery life can easily be improved by enduser - by switching off backlit key feature and dimming screen to a comfortable viewing level; I can get about 5+ hours easily with browser, MS WORD, EXCEL and MS Project running concurrently without streaming music through speakers or watching DVD videos. Full HD display is much better than regular HD, don't hesitate to spring for Full HD if you can afford it.
