This is best product I have tried. It's more expensive than others, but definatelly worth it. I suffered from BV since I had coil and now it just keeps coming back even after I have taken it out.First of all in comparison to other products it has much longer applicator so it can actually be placed where it should go.Secondly, completely removes symptoms after 1 use, but like they say still go through whole course.And lastly most important one is, with other products had to use pad or tampons all day long as it creates more discharge then it eliminates, this product does not do this, you put it in the evening and stays there and then comes out in the morning and you stay dry all day.Cannot recommend it enough, will be in my medicine cupboard for emergencies.

This item is 100% better than any other item I've used to treat BV. It's not as messy as other brands and you do not need to wear any underwear or pantyliners to bed. The pessary is a bit scratchy, but the actual product removes the odour and allows you to put the medication where it actually needs to go. It works on the first application and I use it every few days to maintain and keep the odour away.

The only thing I don't like is the end of the applicators, not soft at all, so a bit awkward to introduce it in.

I get bouts of BV (recurrent BV). Having tried so many other over-the-counter remedies and failed, I was taken by surprise when Betafem cleared my BV and it did so in just a week. I saw a difference the following morning after I first applied the gel. It is packaged well and syringe provided for each day. I noticed that typical BV smell was gone by the second day and some weeks after I finished the treatment, I noticed that there was no smell down there at all. Nothing at all. To have no scent whatsoever was a bit scary for me to be honest and I hadn’t been washing inside out like I used to many years ago due to my slight OCD. This is why I ended up here in the first place. Please let’s teach our daughters from an early age not to wash inside out. I’m not exactly sure when I started but I became compulsive with mine and would always feel unclean if I didn’t wash inside out. This product has changed my life. I am not worried or cautious that someone might catch a sniff of me - that stress is gone. I have my confidence back and I feel like a woman again.

This has done for me what no other product (including medication from my GP) ever managed to do.It is a treatment lasting 7 days...day 1 I noticed a difference.My concern is that if I, or someone, needs it regularly that could add up to a substantial amount of money.It's the most expensive of its kind....not on the NHS, but it can literally give you your life back....

My wife took this to treat her BV, she took it at night, the following day it was coming out all day long constantly and has caused non stop discharge since. The day after she took this, she had INCREDIBLE pain in her lower abdominal, in her bum and vagina, she stated it felt like severe menstrual pain with terrible pressure in her lower back, vagina and stomach, the feeling reminds her of giving birth. We chose this treatment as we was hoping it would work better than the cheaper options, as they had many reviews regarding severe burning. Although this didn't cause my wife severe burning, it caused horrendous side effects. Would not recommend this to anyone.
