An espresso or cappuccino cup will fit but not a regular coffee cup. Look at the Best Choice Products machine (BCP) it has a lot more height at the same or less price point. I am going to sell my Mixpresso machine as the BCP machine is overall better and makes a hotter cup of coffee.

Can use lavazza point capsule ?

I have been using the capsules sold by Lavazza Premium Coffee Corp without problem. But not sure it is the same product as the one mentioned by you.

I purchased this a week ago and the machine power will not go on

Not knowing what you have tried, I would say try removing and replacing the power cord, after you are certain that power is going to the outlet. While cleaning I dropped mine in water and it would not come on for two days. Good luck. We've had my machine for about a year and we love it.
