SlideBelts Men's Leather Ratchet Belt - Custom Fit

I love, love, LOVE the sliding feature of these belts. I've been using one exclusively for a few months now, and have been recommending it whenever the topic presents itself (which is surprisingly often, I'll admit).I'd recommend going for the slightly more expensive version of these belts, the "Premium Full Grain" for one reason. After about 3 months of use, the belt has some damage that causes it to snag when pulling through belt loops. I feel like this wouldn't happen if I had opted for the pricier option.It's still a great belt outside the wear its shown, and while it does snag sometimes, you can notice the bit that's torn, so it still looks great. The only downside to this great belt!

So. Where to start about this belt...I absolutely love it. It is by far the best belt I have ever used. I purchased this belt specifically because it was a slide belt, but I didn't know about my favorite feature when I bought it: the ability to gently lift the edge of the buckle to loosen the belt. It has a ratchet like mechanism in it so that you can easily either tighten or loosen it without taking the belt off. I love this because, as a big guy, I can loosen the belt without taking it off or having to remove it from holes in the belt. Very, very convenient. It is made from what I would call mid-grade leather, though I wish it were a little thicker though this isn't an issue that affects rating.I will mention this: I ordered a specific size but the belt arrived in a one-size-fits-all fashion. The back of the belt has marks that you can use to cut the belt to fit it to you, and I actually am glad that the belt came like this as I was a completely different waist size than I thought when I ordered the belt. After you cut the belt you attach the buckle and never see where the cut was made. Genius.I will never buy another belt from another company again unless this one proves to be horrible, and I do not see that happening anytime soon.

I bought this belt (with the winged buckle, in black) on April 15, 2015 and it arrived the next day. It was just left on my door (I wasn't home to receive it), which I didn't really like but packages left on my door have never gotten stolen. I bought this as a 15th monthsary present for my boyfriend (we still celebrate monthsaries). I haven't given it to him yet but this belt is so beautiful that I just had to review it.As it was mentioned before, the belt is as is on the Amazon photo and it comes in beautiful packaging (nice box, has a thick but professional looking plastic on top of the belt with instructions).*YOU HAVE TO CUT THIS BELT YOURSELFPerhaps it was mentioned before but I admit somehow I missed that fact before I purchased it. On the thick plastic sheet I mentioned it gives you an easy guide with measurements on how to do this. And no need to fear - it states that if you accidentally cut it too short you can exchange it for FREE! That gives me a lot of peace in mind in giving this gift to my boyfriend.The belt itself is beautiful. I am confident the recipient will love it. I'm an active Amazon user so if any defects or flaws are discovered I will be sure to update. I do recommend this belt, it's more classy looking than more expensive belts.

This is my third belt from SlideBelts and unfortunately this one disappoints a little. I did not know they offered a belt that was unfinished on the inside. The other two belts I own are finished on both sides, making them look better and feel a bit heavier. It's a small detail, but for me it drops the belt from I love it status to it's okay...

First saw this style belt on Shark Tank, and did a little research on the two companies that provide them. Odd story if I may say, but I went with SlideBelt because I am a big guy and needed the extra leather length "they offer longer belt no extra charge" You get a 50 in belt and cut to fit. Don't worry if you cut too much they replace the belt for free. Once you lock in the buckle you are ready to go. If you lose weight you can pull off buckle and cut more too.Pros: Belt is made of good leather, the buckle is very sturdy and seems well crafted. The belt tightens in 1/4 inch intervals so you get the perfect fit every time. It is very easy to remove I had read the other company's belt is odd. Belt is interchangeable so you can have multiple belts with one buckle.Cons: The buckle is a little heavy, but it is not too noticeableI Recommend to anyone that likes the perfect fit belt every time and can adjust on the go without having to add holes.

I was hesitant to purchase as there was not a lot of reviews and was not familiar with this style of locking mechanism....let alone cutting your belt to fit.BUT boy was I wrong. Belt comes in impressive packaging, and would make a solid gift; great presentation and color diagram inside. I went with a traditional pattern, but after the initial quality of this belt I am going to purchase the Cali belt in black.Cutting the belt is simple, and the instructions are detailed and very straight forward. The buckle itself is built very well (will update if any issues arise) and the locking mechanism is quite frankly the best method on a belt I have ever owned. Truly a custom fit, with some pretty unique options (majority are not my style, but to each their own). Leather is quality for the price-point and on par to dress up or down.Very happy and like I said, ordering another. Thanks!!!

Sharp looking, easy to set up and great price for a leather belt. There is a bit of trimming to get the belt to the size you want, but the good news is you can make it exactly the size you want. There is even a replacement guarantee if you over cut the belt. The trimmed edge does not show and is hidden in the buckle assembly. Once is is set up the belt stays in place and fastened. I'm able to really pull tight on pants that in the past tended to slip down to an embarrassing level. Works really well for us plus size guys and goes up to size 48 out of the box.
