It's ok, mostly
Made in the U.S.A. That still means something in my home. Nice machine. Seems well built. Nice heavy construction, engine is strong, mows real well. Only real complaints are that it does not have a locking differential, it has pretty skinny tires, and the fuel tank is pretty small for such a big engine. My property is mostly hill. Most of the time the mower does well, but I do spend a lot of time trying to convince it to move up the hill instead of digging a hole with one tire. One tank of fuel lasts less than two hours of operation. I ended up putting the front caster kit on it. The mower worked great on the flat and up hill, but mowing down hill, the weight of the machine forced the skids to dig into the dirt, ending up with billowing clouds of dirt that I had to walk through. Caster kit solved the digging in problem, but made the machine is now over a foot longer, so now it likes to get hung up on uneven ground, more dirt clouds. I have emailed Swisher about the possibility of adding a locking diff or putting on wider tires. So far they have chose not to respond to me.Was at the hardware store the other day. They had an orange brush mower there, one of the competitors of the swisher. It had giant tires and a locking diff. Had I known that the swisher would have struggled so much on my property, I would have made a different purchase. On the flat parts of my place, this thing is amazing. Unstoppable mowing machine. On the hilly part of my place, this thing usually does a good job, but there are times when it needs help to keep moving. I would definitely recommend this mower for anybody with flat or partly hilly property. If you have challenging terrain, I strongly urge you to find something with a locking diff and bigger tires.

The machine was delivered in good shape. It took about an hour to de-crate and another hour to assemble. The directions are not as clear as they could be, but are adequate with a little thought. The machine started on the second pull, but I did have some problem figuring out where the throttle was as it was not clearly marked.Use was pretty easy, but it is a heavy machine. The long handles help a lot in maneuvering. It works very well in flat areas or along easy transitions. Steep slopes or ditches cause the machine to slide. Removal is difficult due to the weight of the machine and the transmission differential where only a single tire engages. Overall, it is a good machine with good cutting power and drive.

Excellent Choice
Item arrived as scheduled. Not much of a problem to assemble once you get it out of the crate but that wasn't particularly easy. They used the longest staples to build that crate I have ever seen! Have used the mower for over a week now and am completely pleased with it. I live in the panhandle region of Florida with many, many saplings, vines and heavy brush and the mower handles all of it without problem. There is a bit of a learning curve to get comfortable with handling it but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. BTW, I have read reviews where people mentioned the grips slipping off and they did. I used an old BMX trick to fix that. Spray a little hair spray into the grips and slide them on. Let them set over night and you will have to cut them off. I could not be happier with the purchase

Good product.
Difficult to get uncrated. I broke a hammer on the crate. I had to use a saw ultimately. Assembly and operating instructions are terrible. Design of some control systems is questionable. But so far it has worked properly. I do not anticipate any further problems. So if you are prepared to be a little bit creative, you should be in good shape with this product.Poor design of and instructions for some systems. It would cost them so little to fix the glitches.

Would be great except for a serious flaw
It does a decent enough job with mowing, the real problem is the shifting mechanism is held on by a tiny bolt that can snap easily, especially because of the pressure the lever puts on it. It appears you have to take the whole thing apart to fix. For now I've jury-rigged a solution that sort of works, but I'm fairly displeased with this flaw and wouldn't recommend this more just because of that.

Rough cut mower
Well made machine. Just the right thing for handling briers, brush and keeping trails maintained. Not for cutting lawns. Assembly was quick. The operators manual doesn't explain a lot but operation of the machine is mostly intuitive.

STRONG AND TOUGH
This bad boy will take down brush in a hurry. If it can ride it down enough it will cut it. I've used it three times over the last week for approximately six hours and am pleased with the performance.

because it's a pc of crap that would just break again
Broken blade engaging lever on delivery. I made a new one that day, because it's a pc of crap that would just break again. Now it's made from aluminum. They should really know better and probably do.
