I love this thing! I have shoulder length, baby fine hair and am hopeless at styling hair. I can't even get a bobbypin to stay in my hair. All I did with this was first used a regular ponytail holder to make a mini "bun;" then used twisted this twice over the top of the other ponytail holder. A little hairspray to keep everything where I wanted it an it was good to go.It stayed in place during an all day outdoor excursion to RenFest and I used it at a semi-formal function that took place both indoors and outside in bright sunshine. It drew many compliments from people who did not realize it was not my actual hair.

The bun doesn't look like the same as the photos because it so messy when I removed it from the package. It looks like it's been used before selling it! I gave it a 1 bec the color is close to my hair. Also the delivery date is 5 more days longer!!!

I purchased: the dark brown mix light auburn and it matched my hair surprisingly well. I naturally have dark brown hair with silver strands that I cover with henna to a light auburn/ coppery tone. (My dark brown stays reletively the same but takes on a ritcher tone). This bun is a near perfect match to my hair. And it’s a lot of hair so thickness won’t be an issue — unless it’s too much hair for you!Also, this thing has saved me a couple of times when I was really short on time to get ready. I was able to throw together a cute hair style very quickly. WAY faster than if I was only styling my real hair.

I have a medium shade of red hair that gets natural blonde highlights in summer. I bought this because I am busy and going to work with wet hair every morning. I work in a professional setting and cannot look like a gutter rat. Now I can throw up a bun and look like I have my life together.

I am a professional stylist, the only way these work is to have your hair colored to match. It is wonderful after that's done. Easy, convenient, and inexpensive. These are very full and will last a long time of you take care of them. I gave 3 stars because the highlighted style has a drastic change in tones that don't blend all that well. Order solid colors, they are beautiful ! 💯

**If this review helped you, please click "helpful"**I will admit - for the price I didn’t expect much.Every other hair piece I found similar to this was much more expensive but I took a risk and purchased this piece in light brown and medium brown. I am so happy I did!Pictured is the light brown color which will be perfect as my hair lightens in the summer time. The medium brown is still in the way.I just put my hair in a messy ponytail and secure this around it with screw pins.

LOVE !!! I ordered this because my hair is growing out and is in that "can't do anything with it" stage. I really did not want to cut it again as I had done very other time I tried to grow it out. I am 57 years old so I want to be able to just let my hair grow. I had to attend a wedding and I ordered this late so I was praying that the color would match and it did PERFECTLY!! Great quality and my hair is thick by fine and layered. One was enough for me. However my pony tail is only 5" when I put it up high on my head like this picture. If your hair is longer and / or thicker, you will likely prefer two of these.

Having thin, fine, pin-straight hair makes it impossible to pull off cute "messy bun" styles, but this piece makes is absolutely perfect! I get at least 1 compliment every time I wear it. I would only caution those that need to loop it around your ponytail twice (like myself, due to my normal hair being the way it is) it will start to get ratty far quicker than if you only loop 1x. Thus far, my solution(s) have been to carefully maintain it between uses, or to make my own ponytail large enough that 1 loop + pins will suffice.
