Water Proof -Truck Bed Solution
Used this on a 3,800 mile road trip over winter break which entailed about 60 hours worth of driving. The second day of the drive was 10 hours of non-stop rain, of various intensities. Followed up the next day with 4 fours of non-stop rain. 2 hours torrential storm system a few days later... the bag held up and NOTHING GOT WET. The contents of the bag stayed dry. I did my due diligence and didn't place any electronics in the bag, those items went inside the truck. So, really only clothes and some x-mas gifts were placed at risk of water damage. The bag worked as advertised and all my items stayed dry.I needed something to keep my suitcases from flopping around and protected from the elements. I had considered a roof box to put in my truck bed. I had also considered a camper top/snugtop. However the cargo box would have been a pain to store when not in use. The topper would then make the truck a non-functioning truck, well for me at least. I like being able to toss stuff into the back of the truck. And the topper would also be a pain to store. The the Roofbags won. It's a great bag, very well made. I got the full kit, not sure I'd buy the non-slip mat again. The mat worked but I only used it once. Turns out the weight of the suitcases kept the bag from sliding around. The 3 duffles in the kit were excellent, helped plan the load. I didn't use the straps that came with the kit, opting to use my own ratchet cargo straps. The roofbag is a very heavy/thick vinyl type material. On cold days it'd stiffen up and lose some pliability. I imagine during the summer the bag will loosen up. Because of the material used, it's not very insulating. So on cold days your cargo will arrive cold. On hot days it'll arrive hot... so plan accordingly because things will freeze and melt during transport. So i used this bag in my truck bed. It held all my stuff. Best of all there was room left in my truck's long bed to also carry a bike. Not in the bag obviously, but next to it.Don't be cheap, pay the few extra bucks and get this Made in USA bag. Seriously, keep jobs here.

It causes a lot of drag and buffeting.
As a waterproof bag it seems fine. Everything is functional. It’s floppy and causes a lot of wind drag and noticeable buffeting on a 2016 Jeep Cherokee.I lost about 6 mpg with it up there, and the noise and buffeting was enough that I took it down halfway through our trip and packed everything in the car. The duffle bag that are included are pretty good and probably the reason I kept the entire thing. In a situation that you must have roof storage it’s fine. As a driver you feel it and so does your car.

Quality Product
We bought the smaller version for our Honda Passport. Product is well made and seems to be durable. We did have trouble loading and unloading as the contents get heavy quickly and we have no step ladder to facilitate access when on the road. Getting it properly loaded, zipped up (very stiff to zip) and balanced was also an issue and we will consider a hard sided car topper or smaller product to avoid this problem.

Water leaks in car
I loved this except one thing. When it rains, the straps soak up the water and the water comes in the car and drips. I had to purchase a tarp and drape over the bag and entire car when I parked at a hotel for the night. Otherwise, no complaints. The bag itself didn’t let water leak in.

Disintegrated Under a Pick-up Truck
Blew off my roof on the first use and exploded under the truck behind us. I likely didn't have the crossbars secured appropriately. I wasn't going to leave a review because of my bad experience, however they kept asking so ...
