COVIDIEN 5110 Webcol Alcohol Prep, Sterile, Large, 2-ply (Pack of 200)

Have bought these before and liked the fact that they're bigger than the standard tiny alcohol prep. Since they're in sealed packs, the alcohol doesn't evaporate and you can keep them for months (years?). Good for medical uses but also for wiping down keyboards, phones, etc.

Beats the itty-bitty alcohol pads hands down.

Although these "large" alcohol wipes are really very small, they're much better than the "medium" size, which are so small that they're basically unusable.

Packaging is different than shown on Amazon, but sticker on the box is printed with PT #5110 PT##5110 Prep 200/Bx by Kendall Company so It's the same product. In case you bought with earlier version of packaging (this box and the packets are orange) the packets read COVIDEN 5110 Webcol Alcohol prep 2 ply, Large, Made in USA. The size of the wipe is about 1 inch by 2 inches (for some reason I thought was 2" x 2"). While these are fine for use as a prep pad, I was looking for something to sanitize my hand or finger after inserting either a hemmorhoid suppository or glycerin suppository. Used for several weeks and then found PDI Sani-hands wipes in pop up canister as well as individually packaged on Amazon and ordered both. I didn't measure size of the PDI wipes, but they are what I would consider standard size for a hand wipe and contain Aloe and Vitamin E in addition to isopropyl alcohol so don't seem as drying (I used the prep pads to sanitize my finger which was starting to get dry with the skin peeling a little at the top due to drying even tho I used lotion after...but so far my hand has no irritation/dryness from the PDI product.). I can't blame the manufacturer for this product not being ideal for me...it is as advertised and MUCH better than a 1" by 1" prep pad I ordered from Amazon first. The two ply feature is good as is the texture of the pads compared to the 1" squares. So if you're looking for a small alcohol saturated prep pad, for whatever use, I would recommend this product. However not what I need so I won't buy again. I should have read the reviews more carefully.Don't remember if Amazon listed the size of the prep pads but seems that for some prep pads size isn't included in the description other than Medium and Large but can often be found in customer answered questions. If you're like me (had never seen a prep pad except when getting shots and blood testing but I'm generally not looking in those situations) you might be surprised by the small size. If you want to sanitize your hands and don't want to be pumping hand sanitizer all the time, the PDI Sani-Hands is a great product and the individually packaged ones can be slipped in a purse or pocket and you get a full sized wipe. A bit more pricey but the wipe is so so much bigger. Just a suggestion if you're like me and looking for larger wipe.

Update! I feel obliged to correct my previous 2-star review. Yes, it's true that a couple of the first pads I opened were disappointing/dry, but I've used so many of these just over the past few days and aside from those first few that I pulled out of the box, these have been A+. I'm sure I've used at least 40 of these so far and only 3 were sort of dry. To be clear: nobody contacted me/asked me to change my review, I really did just judge too soon and now feel bad about it.I don't know what accounts for the fact that a very small percentage I pulled from the box at first were overly dry. The packaging could be better, the pads themselves are individually wrapped/very well sealed, but the box they come in is not. Maybe that has makes a difference? But, these honestly are GREAT for medical use as well as for quick disinfection of phones, remotes, laptops, steering wheels, and even small household "high touch" items like light switches and doorknobs.They are far sturdier and roughly 4-5 times the size of the typical alcohol wipe. I do think they are somewhat overpriced, but these are strange and special times. I would order these again.The two-ply nature of these is nice, but there isn't much alcohol per pad--- they seem pretty dried up as received. Some are a little better than others, but not a great product.

The media could not be loaded.  Due to a change in the health of a family member, I recently had occassion to purchase a large box of alcohol wipes so that I can help administer her daily injections. Needless to say, taking daily injections is a life changing and frustrating process. The injection is painful enough (at least until she gets used to them), so I wanted at least the prep work to be frustration free for her.Initially I had purchased some alcohol wipes from my local pharmacy. I paid close to $20 for a box of 100 wipes which were marked as "large". They were so small and dry that I ended up returning them. I called her doctor and tracked down the brand the nurse had used in the doctor's office when demonstrating the first injection. Covidien's Webcol Alcohol wipes came highly recommended by them. And I have to say I am very pleased with these wipes.I have uploaded a short video which shows just how moist, large, and durable the wipes are. Her injections are taken in the abdomen and the size of these wipes is perfect to wipe and sterilize a large area. They are thick and hold just enough alcohol to get the job done. They don't drip and don't leave me wondering "did I get enough in that area to make it clean for the injection?".I have even grabbed a couple of these and used them to clean off goo or glue residue on other household objects without the wipes becoming "linty" or tearing up on me.Overall, a great product, thick and durable, and so far all my wipes have been moist and fresh!

Thick cloth like fabric with good amount of alcohol soaked in for cleaning a variety of things on the go. One of the better brands of alcohol pads I've used.
