I HIGHLY recommend you open that front panel
Heck yeah!!! I replaced my capacitor in my air conditioner air handler unit in my house and it works flawlessly and perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend you open that front panel, check the size of your capacitor and buy a few for backups. Power spikes and brownouts burn out capacitors and this will be about a $200 "fix" by a shady a/c guy. Capacitors do pack a punch as they store a lot of volts and fire them off to get a 1 phase motor moving, but if you have any electrical ability you can replace yours when needed. Just remember to shunt the terminals (Get a screwdriver with insulated handle and bridge the two terminals to discharge the capacitor.

Excellent value capacitor
I needed this for my furnace blower motor. The one I had was labeled 15 uF, but on my capacitance meter, it only read 4.76 uF. That improper capacitance could be hard on the very expensive furnace blower motor, so I felt I should change it out with this one. This one reads 14.94 uF, well within the motor specification and the accuracy of my meter.

Great Deal for DIY'rs!
Part functioned as advertised. I replaced the item myself (yes, I am an electrician) rather than pay the HVAC company $175 who diagnosed the failing part in July 2013. Replacement was quite simple with easy access to circuit breaker, and only 2 wires to swap. Just had the same company come out to do my Winter checkup, and they said the unit that I had replaced the part on was working great. They did however tell me that my other unit's capacitor was not operating within tolerances. So...I will be ordering a 7.5 MFD capacitor this week for my smaller 2nd unit. I look forward to the cozy temps in the house. Who doesn't like saving $160? I sure do!

Great price. The quote from the HVAC repair guy ...
Great price. The quote from the HVAC repair guy was $168 to change this capacitor. It took me less than 90 seconds to change it my self. Is that a great deal or what?

Great fix for a motor that would not run
This fixed my pond aerator. At first the aerator was hard to start, then went it was running, it didn't had enough toque. I replaced the capacitor, and now it runs like new.

It works, what else it there to say?
There is not much to say other than it works. If this is the capacitor you need and you cannot find it locally, Amazon can get it to you in a reasonable amount of time.
