Disappointing
Perhaps I expected too much from Encyclopaedia Britannica, but this set is disappointing. I grew up with World Book Encyclopedia, and now own three sets of World Book, 1967, 1986, and 2017, and an older Funk & Wagnall's set that I had purchased new, and have owned a very old Encyclopedia Americana. I have for many years wanted to also own a new Encyclopedia Americana, Encyclopaedia Britannica, and a Collier's Encyclopedia, but have now found that none are still in print. However, I found this version of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, and it is new, and dated 2016, so I purchased it.I am very disappointed. The books are small, much like the Funk & Wagnall's, not 'standard' encyclopedia-sized, and the font is very small, proportionately smaller that a "standard' encyclopedia font, making the volumes more difficult to read. Then, the binding is very cheap, and the paper and quality of the printing are also that of a cheap publication. The subject articles are lacking in quality, many are much too short/condensed to provide an adequate understanding of the subject matter; many important subjects are lacking in any information other than a brief mention, many subjects are missing entirely while many subjects that I consider unimportant are treated in depth; there are very few pictures (one picture is worth a thousand words, and most often can provide a level of understanding much better than descriptives), and I have found several errors in the text. Some subjects have strange/unexpected titles (such as ‘American Civil War’ rather than ‘Civil War’; OK, that one was easy to guess, it is a ‘global’ edition), and there is no index, so finding a subject becomes a series of guesses. Then, I realized that the material was last updated in the early 2000s, not 2016, so I have purchased a low-quality ten-to-fourteen-year-old encyclopedia for the cost of a one-year-old World Book Encyclopedia. In short, so far that I can tell, the quality of this encyclopedia is beneath that of my old Funk & Wagnall's. Giving this encyclopedia two stars is being optimistic and giving the benefit of doubt, since I have not read through the whole set.

The Encylopaedia Britannica -- BACK IN PRINT, BUT FROM INDIA -- FABULOUS SET!!!!
I live in the United States where the print version of Encyclopaedia Britannica stupidly has been out of print since 2010. However, this classic set is STILL IN PRINT IN INDIA and SOUTHEAST ASIA with a copyright date of 2016. In addition, the Indian/Southeast Asian version of Encyclopaedia Britannica is in alphabetical order instead of that ridiculous Macropaedia/Micropaedia crap that made the U.S. edition totally unusable since 1980 when the geniuses at Britannica U.S. decided to abandon the traditional alphabetic format in favor of that Macro/Micro garbage. The 2016 Global Edition has everything that the last print edition of the U.S. version had with some of the articles being updated for 2015/2016 (e.g. there's an article on "Isis" in this version). In short, this is the masterful and scholarly work that we baby-boomers grew up with without the messing-around that the U.S. Britannica suffered with. The articles are in alphabetical order, with 20 page in-depth articles mixed in with short paragraph length articles. The print is slightly smaller than the large-book size of the U.S. Britannica and the size of each book is smaller (like that of a regular sized novel), but the content as I said is just as thorough and scholarly as the now-unavailable (since 2010) U.S./European print version. If you want the latest version of Encyclopaedia Britannica, this is the version to get! I cannot be happier with my $600 investment.

Half size books😩
Books are full of great information. Books are only half size at best. Need a magnifying glass if you have a lot of reading to do.

Excellent for us old school folks
Great size, like a book, so it's easier to handle than the extra large size encyclopedias.

Encyclopaedia BLEATANNICA
Misinfomedia Bleatannica.Have 30 volumes of this so called "Encyclopaedia".Cannot say that it is useless, certainly not!But it has huge number of mistakes, false information and simply disinformation. Not to speak about strange "Taste" of editors. For instance brilliant actress Vivien Leigh was not honored to be included in this book. But real whore dancer of Can-Can surely had the honor to be included! N.I.Vavilov, Russian genetic scientist is presented, but his brother, very prominent physicist -- does not. Here Bleatannica made additional idiotic "mistake", even two: On the attached picture appear NOT genetic-scientist, but his well known brother Sergey Vavilov with intriguing explanation: Picture by UNKNOWN painter! When in reality it is well known photography of Sergey Vavilov which could be seen in any book of physical optics! Resort city in Lithuania moved by authors of "Encyclopedia" to nearby republic of Latvia and so on, and on, and on...HEROSTRATUS -- whether anybody knows this name? In Russia every schoolchild knows it! But Webster Dictionary of more than 450.000 words DOES NOT! As well as so called Encyclopaedia Bleatannica! This notorious name does not exist for "scientists", who wrote historical articles for Bleatannica! At the same time they know every moment of the life of whore who danced first Cancan! What deep knowledge they have!!!But the worse is -- that if you made attempt to fix those idiotic negligence and mistakes Mr/Mrs. editor board answers you: WE HAVE OUR OWN EDITORS AND PROFESSIONALS to do all the needed. That why I call it "BLEATANNICA"!

It is a deception
The given image is of the original 32 volume published by the Encyclopedia Britannica Inc. But, what you will get in stead is much a smaller size 30 volumes in tiny , user-unfriendly print. In my opinion one can purchase it if it will be available on not more than Rs.15000/-

Not worth the price
This is not the original product as expected. There is defect in printing in volume 13 , the print is blurred and missing .

Misleading.....
Poor trade practice. Showing the image of the original and shipping something else. It should be clearly mentioned that this is not "THE" Britannica
