Butter Dish with Knife, Blue

Got this to replace an antique butter dish that doesn't have a handle to remove the cover. This one is great, has a big, easy to grab handle and the wooden butter knife/holder are just a nice touch to make it easy to use. Wife loves it...i didn't tell her I ordered it, just surprised her with it. Heavy, very well made and looks great sitting on our table.

I am absolutely in love with this butter dish!!! I was jealous of my sisters fish she found at the max. So I set out to find one. My sister like mine more!!! It comes with a knife. It hold a normal size stick of butter. My butter is from Costco. The style would go great with farmhouse, mid century modern or boho and many more. My home is mid century modern and looks so good on my counter. It is made well. I can’t say enough. I am in love with it. Worth every penny!!!! I purchased the white it isn’t bright white and it isn’t cream. It is the perfect white!!

I’ve read the reviews, I know everyone’s annoyed about the ease with which the knife holster pops off. (After receiving the first, I ordered a second to give to someone, and that one arrived with the holster already separated lol.) But here’s the thing: the knife is trash and I would recommend the company not waste their money on that and focus instead on consistent production (the turquoise dish is quite a bit darker than in the photo). The reason this dish gets 4 stars. Functionality (and yes, it’s nice-looking). I have found no other butter dish with this feature, and they don’t even know what they have. They advertise the shape, the tabbed handles, everything but the best feature: the butter sits on a raised surface and the lid fits into the groove around it, rather than (as with every other butter dish) having the lid boxed in by the walls of the dish. As this dish has no walls, your butter knife doesn’t catch on them when slicing butter, and maybe that sounds like nothing but it is everything. I saw this product a couple years ago, favorited it, then started looking to see if I could find something I liked better. I couldn’t, but when I went back to purchase it, it was out of stock and stayed that way for like two years, and in that time I searched every now and then for a similar butter dish and couldn’t find anything. When this came back into stock I jumped on it and I’m glad I did. Also, the packaging is sturdy enough for transport and nice enough for gifting. My suggestions to the company: 1. Lose the knife. It’s unnecessary and if it’s not functional you’re not going to score any points. It also means you can’t put it in the dishwasher, and that’s not the kind of life I want to life. 2. Make your turquoise match the picture (also maybe consider a light sage green?). 3. Consider raising the edge on the outside of the groove on the long sides of the dish to hold the lid in place more securely. Not a wall that would raise above the butter platform, just a slight bump to make it a true groove. 4. Advertise this feature, it’s literally the best part about this product. 5. Lose the “Butter” embossing. We know what it is.

I am obsessed with this butter dish. There is plenty of room on the lip where the top rests. The wooden spoon is adorable. It’s more pretty than functional, but people love it. It’s a unique piece and is the color of my kitchen

I love the butter dish I received! The design is beautiful and the tbsp markings are really helpful. I like that it comes with a little wooden knife. The look of the wood knife is nice, but I rinsed the dish and the knife before I used it and I think the wood expanded when it dried because when I put the knife back in the holder it was difficult to fit and I had to really push it in. I am not sure if that is the design or if I shouldn't have washed that part with the wood. The only other thing as well is once I use the knife I have to wipe it off other wise there is just butter residue stuck on it. I think I may find something silicone that is flexible and can get more of the butter off when I use it to spread onto food. Love the dish and was so excited when I got it.

I really liked the measurement marks on the base and the little knife on the side is handy!

This butter dish is so thoughtful for all users. 1. It has a wood knife and holder on the side so it’s not lost or smears butter everywhere 2. It has guardrails for retention so the butter does not get on the sides of the lid. Now my mom will stop bothering me about these 2 things. Only request for future update, remove the butter logo looks tacky and cheapens the product. Otherwise very happy with this product.

Beautiful and handy

Acheté le 31/12, offert le 4/1, jamais passé au lave-vaisselle et au deuxième lavage à la main ce jour (28/01), le support en bois pour le petit couteau est tout simplement tombé. Sur la photo on voit d’infimes résidus de colle… ne l’achetez pas si vous trouvez l’originalité de ce beurrier dans le support en bois et son couteau car io va lâcher en moins d un mois.

This didn't make my butter as soft as I'd like, but does help a little. This was one of those purchases that I hesitated on as I didn't feel it was a necessity but I'm so glad I purchased it. It looks a lot nicer on my counter than the cheesy plastic container I had previously. Love the measuring marks on the bottom and it has a handy wooden knife at the back. Would buy again and recommend.

This is butter dish only issue is it don’t fit a whole a whole stick of butter as it’s thin. I love the colour
