Very nice pen
The design makes it very easy & smooth for writing. It writes smoothly on most paper. Very good quality pen. Because I liked it do much I bought another one in a different colour.

Compact, stylish, well built but expensive to run.
I love these pens but they're not cheap to run. The refills are very short and don't last very long. I love them because they are short and comfortable in the hand. Short helps because I use a weatherproof clipboard which has a clear plastic cover which is hinged at the top so space inside is tightest at the top and gets better as you get lower. These pens pressurise the ink refill by the action of clicking the end of the pen which also retracts and puts the nib out for use. If you write a lot you sometimes find it starts to fade out because it's lost pressure. So you then have to click a few times. Great for a fidget. Another reason I love them, a great big clip with a lot of depth adjustment so it's very easy to clip to boards, clothing, wads of paper etc. My fav is the transparent one but I lost it. I then bought several all black ones because they were half price. I also bought a bright yellow one to stand out more but it's rubberised feel is great to hold but gets dirty easily. I use my hands a lot at work and they get grubby. My pen is now very grubby too. The photo showing the refill is a used one. A new one would have ink almost to the small white swab near the back. This ink is not as black as some other makes but the line is nice and fine and works a lot better than the average biro on damp or greasy paper. Being pressurised too means being able to write easily vertically or upside down. We'll built and designed, has a small lanyard hole too. Only negative on build quality is the nib cap. Easily unscrews to change ink refill but the thread is tiny and you could easily cross-thread and damage it. You'll pay at least £5 for three refills so bear that in mind. You could buy a lot of pens with far bigger refills for that. Well done if you got to the end. 😉

Small but still easy and comfortable to use
A not quite so small pocket pen supplied with a generously large sprung pocket clip that can accommodate almost any thickness of fabric or fit over a thick cover of a journal, diary, notepad or a meetings minutes book. It is available in a limited range of colours including black and blue. As an alternative to using the clip, there is a small plastic loop opposite the clip that could accept a thin D-ring or nylon cord associated with a lanyard. Unlike other 'mini-pens', this is sufficiently chunky and of an appropriate length to grip and use effectively. The "Tombow BC-AP54 Airpress Ballpen - Orange" is a recent addition to a couple owned and used since they were first discovered 2-3 years ago, this being to closely match a yellow-covered notebook/journal. Used almost daily, none has yet needed a refill which are readily available via Amazon and other Tombow retailers. The refills are quite short but appear to be long-lasting. The front conical section can be unscrewed and an empty refill pulled free - it needs a little strength and a good grip but isn't difficult. The unique feature of this pen, in common with the more expensive and feature-original Fisher Space Pens, is that the refills are pressurised and that allows the pen to be used to write against a wall, or even upside-down, without fear that the ink will fail to feed almost immediately; it will continue to write in such positions continuously. One has been permanently kept on a desk and occasionally soaked with tea, coffee and soft drinks although not by personal clumsiness but that of others. The pen has continued to function perfectly throughout and can probably survive a lot more abuse other than being crushed! Thus far, every one purchased has been filled with black ink but it is believed that blue refills are also available. The same refills are compatible with a few other Tombow 'compact' ballpoints.

Good but could be better
I purchased this pen to write my shopping list which is pinned on a notice board and is therefore vertical. It is perfect for my purpose and indeed writes in any position. However if you wish to write for any length of time this is not the pen for you. It is short and not very comfortable to hold and has a very fine scratchy pen nib.

A nifty pen for the money
A comfortable pen which writes nicely. A great colour which gives a funky appearance. Nifty that you can write upside down and on wet paper. I bought this after a recommendation and glad that I did.

Love this little pen!
Great little pen, in yellow so i can easily identify it as mine. Pen is thick enough to make it easy to hold and operate. Smooth and easy writing, I was so happy, I now have a few of these . . . .all in yellow.
