A Fun light
This is a cheap way to add some light effects to your room or porch. The light acts as a ambient light not a main and gives an an amber hue to the room. The three modes are interesting and work best when you put the light behind a shade on a lamp or some other blocker that hides the actual light. The fire mode is a bit predictable and your brain will know that is not actual fire but that is ok if used in the right setting. The glowing pulsating light is also fun and is not too fast so can give an accent to something you want to bring an accent light too.The on mode is nice and warm and I used it as a background light in my media room.Be aware that using the light on a dimmer is not going to give you the best results so target on and off switches. I tired it on as a porch light also and gave some light in the evening at a low cost. I would use it for Halloween for sure but would not use it as a security light if that is a concern for you as the light is low for that purpose.Other notes are that the light is bigger than your average light bulb so make sure you check dimensions before assuming it will fit on the intended placeOverall this is a fun light and works as described. Don't expect it to replace actual fire as this is an artificial light. I loved it as an ambient light for my media room setting a really good ambient light when I wanted low light and not full dark in the room.

Great flame imitation
Can’t really say much other than they worked really well for the time we had them out for a couple of weeks for Halloween. They worked and looked great. I’ll update next year when we get them out again.

Great bulb idea for parties or kids room
The media could not be loaded. I received the lights today, fast shipping. I tried them in a bathroom just to see the effects however that bathroom had a lot of natural light along with the additional bulbs that were there. My bulb had to go in horizontally which may have not given me the full effect but they are pretty cool. Definitely something neat for a kids room like 8-13 years old, or older. You can in my clip that there are multiple modes you can use which was a nice feature. These would definitely be a hot ticket if it had a blue flame. Im going to buy a couple of small room lamps to use in my sons room. He loves these lights.

Cool but better check HOA rules
Some how I got suckered in on the idea of these cool led bulbs for the front of my house, like the sales pitch starts “make your home different” well then the Home Owners Ass. people step in and some creepy person took pics of my home at 3:20 am and got a letter saying I can’t have these on my home that I pay for, only white bug attractive lights can be used, but all the street lights are just as orange as these lights are (1 of reasons I bought) including the one about twenty feet in front of my garage where I had these. Like wow OK sadly I live in Florida the USA just a few blocks from the dude that took Nancy P’s podium thingy, guess I just didn’t realize that the social differencing is so absurdly stupid now that you can’t have none white light bulbs on your house! So buyers beware, and a note to seller nowhere in your sales add states that you should check your 200 some page HOA rules before purchasing, you should add that! Otherwise really cool lights highly suggest to those who actually have any freedom of choice still left! Well not left in the sense of that left, I guess I mean available. I’m non political please don’t hate me.

Not great but not bad
Maybe I was expecting something different but not what I expected after reading other reviews. The reviews made me think I’d like it a lot more than I do. It works so + for that, + for getting here so quickly, and + for matching what being what is stated. But it gets a - for not mimicking a flickering fire very well and another - me not finding one of the 4 patterns something I’d buy it again for. It was a 2 pack and no real difference between the two so at least it’s consistent. The reason I’m not super enthusiastic about it is that there is only one setting that tries to mimic flame light and that pattern flickers way too fast constantly, some fast is fine but it’s too unnatural that it never has a slower moment and it becomes too much of a pattern. It should mix fast and slow randomly. And why is only one setting for this. It could have easily mixed in some different styles of flickering. The other settings are on , pulses, and breathing. It would have gotten more stars had the breathing setting mixed with the flickering pattern because together they would have done well creating a believable flame light. The pulse is blah and on is trump orange so no magic there. The breathing is better to me than the flickering but each alone is incomplete. If you do get one then don’t disappoint yourself and look at the bulb, it’s just square/rectangular spots that light up. It will help ruin the effect further. Best to put it in the background behind something that breaks or shades the bulbs pattern so it gives it a bit more appeal. It will also help if you already have a fire but only if used in a way as to blend the lights together. They almost had something but as expected and it happens to often , one of those corporate Chinese companies decided to cut corners and maximize the money they make with one time customers rather than making quality products for repeat long term customers. So close…

Looks great in the dark
I've wanted to use an old post light fixture to use as a candle-like lamp. I finally found this bulb that is a reasonable simulation of a flickering candle (not perfect, but quite good). The pictures show the parts and the result. In this case the fixture didn't have a bottom or a lamp socket - that's why you see that socket.I liked it - so I made another using a pole light fixture (lots available in various styles) with a "pedestal adapter". The adapter permits the fixture to be mounted on a flat surface rather than on a pole. For both lights I used a square piece of 3/4 plywood as the base so that the lights are portable (my preference).
