I bought this for me Savannah cat's bed as during the night he gets cold. It's not an easy bed for pets to lie on as the cover against the item slips a bit. To stop this I put the heat pad under one layer of blanket and it doesn't get really warm unless its on 25 or 30 degrees. Then if it gets really cold it's put onto 30-40 degrees. Not cost effective. Either the output needs a boost or it needs to have more traction when your pet walks on it so they don't slide around on it. I like the item and the idea but needs fine tuning. There are probably better out there but I can't afford to spend more money finding another product so this will have to do!

Cat loves it. Good temperature ranges. Cable is nice and sturdy, I don't worry about her potentially biting it (although, she never has)

I use for 6 new born kittens and works ok.

It heats up well and appears quite robust but my dog easily rucks it up which I then think makes it uncomfortable and potentially is over bending the wires. I know it has to be waterproof but it has a very crackly cover. Fine if your dog just goes to bed and stays there but mine gets up and down and walks in circles on her bed before settling - not good with noisy bedding next to the side of my bed! My dog also sheds hair and the plush cover is difficult to remove the hair from. The plus points are my dog is old and arthritic and appreciates the warmth.

its a nice comfortable pad with a good anti chew cable but the device just cannot get even remotly hot enought no where near what was advertised

the most robust bit is the electric lead that is chewproof but i wouldnt expect the rest of it to last very long and our dogs arent chewers. it feels flimsy

Bought this for our chickens!I know very strange reason but couldn't stand the thought of them being in the cold.However the product itself is very good have set it to a low-medium temperature just to take the chill off. Now the chickens prefer to sleep.on this instead of their perches.As we have had a fair bit of snow fall during the past week you will always find a chicken or 2 warming up during the day or quite happily leaving us an egg.Very good washable cover and the mat itself is water proof so easily wiped clean. Was concerned about the claws piercing it whilst their scrabble about but it has proven to be strong and with stand any abuse the cable is chew/peck proof.

I like the chew proof wiring but the unit hardly warms at all, even on the highest setting....very strange.I will be sending it straight back unfortunately.....
