Amazon Basics Beginner Violin Bundle, Full Size, Solid wood,Natural - Bow, Strings, Strap, Tuner, Rosin, and Case

I’ll start by saying it is definitely a get what you pay for deal, I bought it just wanting to test the waters on violin playing and with no music stores within 100 miles from where I live this is where I started, I ordered it on a Tuesday night with expected arrival on the following Monday (I ordered it late at night as well).. it however arrived on Friday which was 3 days before expected, so A+ on that part. It did not come damaged nor with parts missing, it came exactly how it was listed, I have seen several reviews stating it won’t hold tune, therefore I took the liberty of going ahead and ordering better strings, I played on the strings it came with for a day before the new ones came in, and yes the stock strings are trash, I added D’Addario Prelude strings in case you may want to try them as well, I haven’t had any problems with them at all, in my personal opinion if you understand that you’re not putting hundreds of dollars into a new violin, and you’re not expecting them to mail you a Stradivarius for $60 then it’s a good deal, it is a playable violin for the price. I’ll try and upload a video when I get the new one to show if there’s a difference or if anyone else can tell a difference, I rated everything 5 stars because once again I understood that I was paying $60 not $600 and for $60 it’s a good deal

So for price you are definitely getting a deal! The body of the violin is beautiful, solid, nice weight, and overall pretty great. The problem I ran into is the strings. As many said replace them even before you want to tune it. The A string that it came with was coming in very low and actually snapped when I tightened it. The strings just won’t hold a tune for longer than a couple of mins which is unfortunate for beginners because you’ll learn some bad habits that way. BUT! The strings are VERY easy to replace. The tuner is a little awkward however I grew up playing violin and I never had a digital one so it may just be user error for that one! I can see how it can be very helpful to someone who is just starting out! Overall VERY pleased with this violin. I work a 8-5 job so this is just a hobby and perfect for some minor fiddling around (ha!).

For what it is this violin exceeded my expectations as well as the expectations of my daughter's instructor. He made this thing sing! Great for beginners if you get the right size. My 7 year old uses a 1/2 right now. This 4/4 is more for a full grown adult.

Strings came.broken. we replaced and they broke again in five seconds! My daughter was thrilled to get this for her birthday and quickly disappointed. She is 15 and was super gentle. The instructions for tuning are poor and nothing provided for restricting or anything.

I was very excited about getting this violin beginner bundle. Sadly, there wasn't a beginning at all. The bow string had a string or two broken in the package, the E string was peeling off making it impossible to tune it and the bridge would not stand while tuning. The body also had some scratched and blemishes, as did the chin rest. It did not feel like it was a real one, more like a show piece. The tuner along with this was handy, but the instructions were non-descriptive diagrams that made sense but did not provide meaningful instructions to follow on. I ended up returning the product and shall probably want to invest more and get a better one. This was not a good experience at all.

Perfect for a beginner. Sturdy carrying case.

I like the musical quality of this instrument it was great for my 13-year-old daughter who is just learning about this type of instrument in her middle school music class it’s a great beginner instrument pretty good quality for the price I could not be happier with this purchase

Full disclosure, I got this violin used for like $40 to be decorative. But for curiosity’s sake (and yours) I tried it out before hanging it. Unless you’re planning to replace almost the entire violin, it’s unplayable. The pegs won’t hold tightly enough to keep the bridge in place, much less to hold a tune. The strings and bow need to be replaced, and my tuner was broken in addition to other missing accessories.Added a star because it’s a lovely to look at and comes with a sturdy case, but I wouldn’t recommend this for actual use.
