The screw is a bit too wide so it tends to tear a cork but the penetration is very easy (the screw is wide) and the lift is also very easy as the wings are reasonably tight to the screw. It is very easy to use and I would highly recommend it but it may leave a bit of cork in the bottle, which is generally of no problem unless you are having to uncork $1000+ bottles of wine. It is a very good corkscrew and I would recommend it.

This is a great corkscrew for a good price. I've had some other more expensive corkscrews and they weren't near as good as this one. Other reviews talked about tearing up the cork. They must either not know how to put in a corkscrew or they have some really cheap wine with terrible corks. I've never had a problem with tearing up a cork or getting cork bits in the bottle.

This is just the corkscrew I was looking for and couldn't find locally. The screw itself is not just smooth, but is tapered so it provides some good pulling power. It is good for pulling corks out of wine bottles and you won't be disappointed with it. Plus if you want to gift it to someone, it comes in a very sturdy, well-built box. I'm glad I purchased it.

After going through several other styles of wine openers, all of which were either short-lived or inconvenient to use, I decided to go back to the basics. The VinousQ is just that--basic, super easy to use wash and store, and well priced, too! I enjoy using it and will be happy to recommend it to friends when their fancy openers go south.

I am very pleased with this wing corkscrew. This style of corkscrew is the only type I will use and this one is certainly worth the purchase. I actually just wanted one in a box or case to take with me traveling so I ordered this one. It comes very nicely packaged and definitely a "premium" opener. I highly recommend it! Great customer service as well.

Does what it's suppose to do!I've bought more expensive versions of this wine opener and they have all fallen apart within a month. It has been 6 months now and it still does what it's suppose to do which is all I ask of a wing assisted wine opener.

I have no problem with the Corkscrew.....it was a gift and the woman I gave it to loves it. I give one star because since I purchased it I have received about five to six emails asking me if i like the product or not. Seriously it has become annoying. Product is great ......aftermath from VinousQ/Amazon has been bothersome.
