This is an excellent quality board! I was a little concerned that a 42" board would be too large for me, but my 5'6" 110 pound self can maneuver it just fine! The larger size is great for a beginner like me, because it gives it much more stability. I will be able to enjoy this board when I become more advanced as well. The case it comes in has a liner on the inside to offer a little heat and sun protection (although you should never intentionally leave it in the sun or hot car as it could warp). The pouch on the front of the case is huge! It is holding my fins, fin socks, rash guard, sun screen, water bottle, and if I had snorkelling gear it would hold that too with room to spare! I am very happy with this board, and will try to come back and post pictures in a month or two after it has gotten a bit more use. Highly recommend!

I searched Amazon and other sites for boards that were of the same quality as the ones I bought over 30 years ago. The price is over double what I paid then, but I expected that. With proper care these will probably last that long, too. These are a little slicker on the top surface. Some of our younger (child) riders had a little trouble staying centered on the board. Overall, I am very pleased with these boards. I ordered two other brands before I found these. I returned them with zero problems.

I started bodyboarding in San Diego and was using a cheaper CBC 39 inch bodyboard. I looked online for review and the Thurso 42" board was recommended as a great bodyboard for beginner.After using the 2 boards side-by-side, the Thurso bodyboard is definitely superior in these ways:- It gives a more stable ride- It is constructed with a better foam material that feels softer on my chest- The coiled strap is better than the cheaper strap on the CBC board. It does not entrap my arm during any of my manuveurs.

I bought this bodyboard for my 10 year old son. He always had bodyboards that cheap pieces of trash. He wanted one with a slick bottom so I started looking around and reading reviews about the best bodyboards out there. I found this one on a list of the top five bodyboards so I looked it up on Amazon. I thought it was a fair price so I bought it. He had a huge problem obeying me so I didn’t give it to him for a long time but once he started listening again I gave it to him. He was so stinking happy with it he just about wet his pants. It’s a little bit big for him he can just about get his arm around it when he is carrying it but he’s not shrinking. He looks so cute walking to the beach with the bodyboard in its carrying case. The orange color is great it really stands out in the water. This bodyboard allows him to ride even tiny waves. I feel bad I made him use body boards that sucked for so long. It’s totally worth the money.

I've had this board out twice now in 2-4 ft waves off the east coast of Florida near St Augustine and I've caught a bunch of fun waves. I'm 5'9", 173 pounds (65 years old) and this board works great for me. The board, leash and bag all appear to be good quality. I'm very happy with my purchase, so far.

Excellent board. I haven't gone out to the beach in years, and I really wanted to get on a body guard again. I had always wanted a board with a back pack carrier. This combo was not only perfect but priced competitively with other boards of the same quality, and the others aren't even bundled with the pack.

Exactly what I expected. I love the board and the bag it comes with has enough storage for additional things you might use like flippers. I am really impressed with the sturdiness of it and its performance. Highly recommend!
