WARM
This is my third Carhartt jacket. The first one was nice looking and fairly warm, but it is light colored and just got too dirty looking. The second one was a darker jacket that faded and the fabric cuffs began to rip. Both have plenty of wear left in them but I wanted something a little nicer to look at and I don't seem to ever be pleased with any other brand. I decided to go with the darker green with this one because in a few years, I'd rather it look faded than dirty.While reasonable to look at, that's not why I bought this one. Carhartt makes plenty of super stylish coats if that's what you're looking for. However, for me, I wanted a winter coat and warmth was my top priority.What this one has:* an "Oh my God you killed Kenny!" hood (complete with draw strings and a fuzzy interior) in which you can completely submerge your frozen face for instant toastiness* buttons instead of a zipper, so no jamming and nothing to be misthread when you try to unzip while sitting down* exterior pockets on your chest for your cell phone* recessed fabric cuffs that keep the warmth in -- and that are less likely to tear because they're not exposed* enough length to warm your butt and your thighsI'm just under 6'1" with long arms so I got the large tall (as another reviewer suggested). It fits great... and you are very warm the instant you put it on. It was in the high twenties here in Seattle last week and it was awesome.It is everything I expected and more and I anticipate I will get many years of wear out of it.

One of the BEST
Stats: 6' 3.5" tall and 210lbs. Athletic build - runner and weight lifter. Need a 36 inch sleeve which often forces me into the XL category.Reluctantly ordered the Large Tall due to remarks by other reviewers saying the XLTall is designed for tall, fat guys. My previous experiences with Large Talls were all negative due to the tightness around the shoulders. Not the case here. This jacket fits absolutely perfectly. Plenty of room in the shoulders and tapers just right down to the bottom. The jacket is not long but also not too short either. I do not seem to mind no zipper as long as the buttons hold up. First worn yesterday when the outside temp was 9 degrees with a good breeze. It was very warm. Highly recommend this jacket.

Great winter coat for tall men
This is by far the best Jacket I have every purchased. I am 6'7" and 250lbs I order an XLT and it fits perfectly. this jacket has been used almost every day over the past 2 winters and it is amazing. It is very warm and I have been able to use in conditions into the single digits without out anything but a T-Shirt underneath and have remained very warm. The durability of this jacket is up paralleled as it can hold up to almost anything without and issue. I plan to use this jacket for a very long time and expect it to hold up for many years. I am so happy they make this in tall for us taller individuals.

Fits like a jacket should, just enough extra to keep it from riding short on ya
I am 6'2", 208lbs, 46" shoulders, and the large fits with a good amount of room left. The jacket fits exactly as I want, not over sized but with enough room that I can move around it without the sleeves hiking up. The hood has plenty of room, and doesn't stop at my hairline like most. It seems pretty durable but I've only had it a couple of days.I've worn it in 33 degree windy/rainy weather and am plenty warm.I'm dropping this review in pretty quick because when I was shopping I wished there were some height/weight stats closer to my own. So if you're my size, you're welcome, and buy it. You won't be disappointed.

A great coat, rugged and stylish
Would be 5 stars if it had a zipper. Also,the size doesn't run THAT large. I usually wear xl in coats, ordered the large tall based on other reviews. I am 6'4, 210 lbs. The coat has plenty of length, but fits just a bit too snugly, not much room for under garments. Still has the rugged warmth of a Carhartt. Looks amazing. I'm keeping it, will just have to watch my weight in order to keep it buttoned up.

This jacket is amazing and the tall was perfect for my 6'5" boyfriend
This jacket is amazing and the tall was perfect for my 6'5" boyfriend. The sleeves fit him and that never happens! The back dips down a little extra long for no "plumbers crack". I would recommend this jacket to any male who is tall and can never find something that fits! It is extremely durable and supper warm with the inside fake sheep skin lining. The sleeves have a silky feel inside that makes for easy in and out for your arms.

He excitedly called me saying that this was the best thing that I have ever bought him
I bought this jacket for my 6'6" son. I had my reservations about the fit since I was buying the coat on-line without him trying it on. I had it delivered to him at his college in Maine, where it was cold. He excitedly called me saying that this was the best thing that I have ever bought him. It fit him perfectly in the torso and sleeve length. He raved about how warm it was and said he wasn't sure if he would ever be taking it off. I think that's about as good as it gets. I am thrilled that we finally found something that fits him well.

Fits great
This jacket is made of good material. Somewhat water resistant too. I purchased this for my husband who never likes to wear jackets because he says they do not fit well. Anyway he loves it. We live in the south though and it's never that cold to need a big heavy jacket like this. It really keeps you warm and blocks wind.
