Not sure whether it's worth paying the premium for the smaller bits that I've bought from this brand, but for this big boy it's well worth the money. Good bit of kit that will grind off pretty much anything - you will then need to put the yards in with 120 grit for sound detailing in hard to reach areas. Lee L - no it doesn't. This is because your wood has excessive moisture content and/or you're being too aggressive with it.

If trying to remove large amounts of material fast, the coarse is not the ideal choice. I would recommend Extreme but excellent quality and useful for carving. Great product

This burr is amazing and powerful but check first if it fits your Dremel size. Mine fits in my drill luckily but not in my Dremel tool as the shaft is quite thick.

Bought this as a gift for my husband. He's delighted with it and says it will improve his diy skills.

This Kutzall Extreme Burr is efficient and aggressive! . . . Its a great bit of kit in a rotary tool to remove media fast! I use it for carving soft and hardwoods and it is just brilliant! . . . I highly recommend these Kutzall burrs!!

was very efficient at removing lots of material quickly, was easy to clean with a stiff brush, slightly coarse finish, but easy to sand down

I am genuinely surprised at the quality of this tool. I used it to grind out the hollow part of a spoon and it worked wonderfully. I did 2 spoons from the same maple board. One board I used the Saburr Tooth sphere coarse and the other I used this Kutzall coarse. I thought based on looks that the Saburr Tooth would do the better job, but actually the Kutzall performed better, both in the speed of material removal and ease of handling. I thought the Kutzall would clog with wood and require cleaning every few minutes, but the opposite was true, it never clogged. The Kutzall actually ground out the wood and it came out in a fine dust, while the Saburr Tooth cut out much larger pieces, but at a slower removal rate. The wood heats up with the Kutzall, but it doesn't burn, at least if you keep the tool moving. I also got the fin Kutzall for clean up and it works well too, just not as profoundly as the coarse Kutzall, which is to be expected. I'm glad I got these tools and wish now that I hadn't got the Saburr Tooth tools. I have a dedusting system and work with the project piece with the Foredom rotary tool right at a point of dedusting suction. I generate a lot of the dust and most of it is captured by the dedusting system, but not all, so be sure to wear a dust mask as well.
