RCA RPJ136 Home Theater Projector - 1080p Compatible, High Res, Bright, White

I really wanted to give three stars on picture and brightness, but considering the cost of this projector, that would be wrong. No, it won't work well in a dark room or even in low sunlight. No the picture isn't HD quality in any light, the speakers aren't very good either. That said, and the brutal honesty out of the way, I love this projector. My family loves it too. We mostly use it for family movie night out doors, no fancy screen, just a twin bed sheet on an outside wall, and a Bluetooth speaker creates a great experience, for well under $100. I connect it to either a laptop or wireless cable box, and gave access to anything we want to watch. Once it gets dark the picture is good enough for everybody to enjoy. It is small and light enough that setup and storage is a breeze, I keep it and the wireless cable box in the Amazon box the projector shipped in. The family likes it so well that my wife has suggested we buy another as a spare in case this one breaks down, that might have been the first time in 25 years she has suggested spending money on an electronic gadget, that is about the strongest endorsement I can think of.

Great value, we plug in our chrome cast, router, or the switch and play Mario on the big screen! :) sound quality is great.

I am unable to make the picture clear no matter what we try!!!! I need a new product because this one is unuseable!!!!

The only thing I dislike is that it’s not wifi.

For the price this is a great deal, the picture is good even though it is not HD, but it does support it via HDMI, the projector was meant to be used in the dark. The image makes me think of film theatres, it brings that sense of mind. This is a great brand with a great item at a very good price, it is good as a beginners projector. I like the multiple connections, HDMI, USB 3 and VGA, plus a nice remote. It is not as bright as others, the graphics are not as defined as others but it pulls its weight and makes for a good quality projector. RCA products are known to be durable and last for a long time so that is a huge plus. The design is compact and very nice, with a nice fabric top, very small and portable. I was thrilled and happy when I received it, it is indeed 480 graphics and to be used in the dark. Thumbs up for me, as a starter projector...

This is used for a Child's room. it was great based on the needed use.

There are small issues, and you can see why the previous owner may have sent it back. Something had slipped out of place inside the projector causing a 5-10° angle change of the screen. Opened it up quick, slid the piece back, held it in place with tape. Works great 👍

The rpj136 with black sides is a pile of crap, the rpj136 with white sides is a nice unit.

nightime bedroom tv on youtube original package, not shipping carton, had been opened before, as this packing box was taped over the damaged area with transparent tape. I tried to use this projector but was unable to secure an even 70 dollar focus quality. also the remote ZOOM button did not change picture zoomwise, instead did change picture ratio, 16.9 etc. this is the first time I have ever returned an AMAZON purchase. also I have operated RCA equipment since 1954 {theatre projection and sound} and have never had RCA devices before that should only be used as a BOAT ANCHOR!!

The first projector arrived in a box which wasn't even taped shut. It projected light but no image, so Amazon customer support had me return it for a refund and purchase another. The second did not even power on. Again, I could not be sent a direct replacement, and had to return it for a refund. It felt like it would be a great value product, but I would not be writing this review if the second projector had worked. 2 for 2 were defective, and so I cannot recommend this projector.
