## Description

Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant is a one-component sealant/adhesive that cures at room temperature when exposed to the moisture in the air. When undergoing the acetoxy cure system, the product transforms from a non-sag paste to a tough and flexible rubber that adheres to many substrates. Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant is stable and flexible from -60°C to +180°C (-76°F to +356°F), with short peaks up to +205°C (401°F). Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant has excellent dielectric properties. The product complies with MIL-A-46106 and FDA 177.2600. After 24 hours (at room temperature and 50% relative humidity) Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant will have a cure depth of about 3 mm. Limited atmospheric moisture and lower humidity levels will extend cure time. When stored at 32°C (90°F) the product's shelf life is 900 days from the date of its manufacture.

The caulk wipes smooth with little effort. This is a caulk that cures quickly (skins in about 5 minutes) so work and smooth as you go. It has an odor during the curing process so ventilate if your working in a confined space like a shower stall. The caulk lasts for years in the bath area with no discoloration. The caulk will also stay usable for up to 6 months after opening as long as the cap is installed.

**Q: What is the date of production?  This product has a 900 day shelf life**
A: 1-2014 worked well..

**Q: can this be used to seal copper duct?**
A: I would use it myself but a lot depends, size of gap to be filled,( may have to layer it on. ), is it going to be subject to extreme temps, which should not be an issue. We use it at work to adhere rubber seals onto airplane wings. This stuff is tough. I bought some for home use in all 3 colors, have used the white, we use clear at work. Haven't tried the black. But if anything will seal it, this stuff is premium quality. Depending on area temp, this needs to be in place rather quickly, don't start and then go to bathroom. Average temp will give a 3 to 5 minute window before starting to set. Practice on a small piece first to get idea of set time to work. Clean area to receive sealer with acetone or vinegar. Not sure which would be best, experiment. Will it stick to copper? I just don't know, but can say this is the best sealer I've ever used and the airline industry uses it, just not on copper.

**Q: Does it smell?**
A: yes, there is an odor of acetic acid, (vinegar like smell)

**Q: I'm looking for a mold resistant shower caulk. is the the best there is out there?**
