It arrived quickly, the brush was soft enough to paint my baby hairs, yet firm enough to easily dye the hard to reach/hard to see parts of my head. The "rat tail" end of the brush Is made of firm metal, and is fine and pointy enough that it easily parts each section of my hair perfectly. It's slightly rounded as well, so it doesn't scratch my scalp like other brushes have. The brush end wasn't porous, so it was easy to wash after I'd finished dying my hair.
