Good tool. Used it flawlessly to pull out 8 injectors. My only complaint is that the tool could be longer to clear the strut towers better and the weight heavier to help ease the force necessary to remove then.Definitely will be using this tool more often in the future!!

Overall quality is good and straight forward to use. The hammer retention bolt comes loose as it is hammered though; easy fix by adding a second bolt to secure it and just keep an eye on it to retighten every couple hits.I found for stuck injectors you can use an air hammer at the base of the hammer part to do the heavy lifting. Tool isn't really designed for this, but the lip is large enough to work well and save yourself a lot of pounding.Well worth the investment.

Here’s my setup and tips: Make absolutely sure you have the tool collar well fitted to the injector as seen in my last pictures and the collar that locks it down all the way down and seated so you about stripping or breaking the injector head, the tool fits very well, recheck after a few blows.If you want to actually get these injectors out you need some more leverage, the slide hammer is simply too lightweight. I added an old bmw wheel bearing under it for more leverage and was able to get more load on them which helped a lot but wasn’t enough for the center positions. What helped the most was using a old brake rotor plus the bearing on the slide hammer, have someone else hold the rod for the slide hammer centered while you hit it and they come out in like 3 hits it’s insane. I was hitting it with the normal setup for hours and no dice. Also soak the holes in your favorite penetrant say aerokroil or whatever.Also if you’re gonna buy the tool, expect the extra bucks to get the injector seal installer with it too, if you need to do your valve cover gaskets in the future, you need to pull injectors and replace the seals on them.

Excelente extractor

I have a GM 3.6 engine and the fuel injectors are stuck. The rails came off ok but the injectors were not attached. They stayed in the engine are are nearly impossible to remove.This tool works by grabbing the inlet end of the injector so the slide hammer can be used to extract them.However, the GM3.6 is transverse mounted and there is no way to attach this tool on the front (driver side) injectors. The tool cannot be oriented to fit because the injectors are angled at the firewall and the tool is too long.Also, the GM 3.6 engine is direct injection and the injectors are far down below the valve covers. It is a very tight space and visibility is poor.One other problem: if your injectors are really stuck like mine, this tool will rip the end off before it pulls the injector.The only thing I have found that works is a slide hammer vise grip on the inlet end so tight that it destroys the old injector. It's a lot of work and I don't care about destroying the old injectors since they are being replaced anyway.
