AcuRite Digital Thermometer with Indoor, Outdoor Temperature and Daily High and Lows (00424CA), White

Just got my AucTite Digital Thermometer. It was so easy to put into a working mode. The instructions were perfect!! I’m 81 and it was a snap. I put the outdoor sensor in a water proof bag and hung it beside my outside back door. As soon as the sensor and display were in perfect communication, it was on! It is easy to read and the accuracy is exact! I always want to know the temperature so this is long overdue!! I wish I’d have done it years ago. I recommend! I love it!!

Satisfies what I needed. Easy and simple to set with buttons on front. Display large enough to read without glasses.

I was concerned about accuracy at first set up but 24 hrs later its temperature reading is spot on. I like that the temp sender is powered by easily available AA batteries. I used lithium which keep their power better in the cold NE winter. The date/time set up is just like any other digital device. Simple and straightforward. Once the batteries are installed the sender and LCD screen pair themselves immediately. The LCD screen is first rate with big easy to read numbers For the price it's an excellent and accurate outdoor/indoor bluetooth thermometer. So I'll see how it holds ups over time. Right now since it's very reasonably priced for what it is I can highly recommend it as a solid buy.

I had written a negative review at first because it seemed that the sensor did not work and outside temperature did not register. Amazingly enough, now, 3 hours later it displayed the correct temperature. When I inserted the batteries and set it up it showed a 76 degree outside temperature. It was 89. It stayed like that for over two hours and now it displays the correct outside temperature of 92 degrees. I almost returned it because I thought it was damaged. The box looked like it went thru WWII. I assume somebody else had returned it because it did not look like factory packaging. May be somebody else thought it was broken due to the long time to register the correct temperature. Should be noted in the instruction manual that it might take several hours to register correct temperature.

Easy setup and it works. I bought a second one to be able to monitor outdoor temperature from two locations. The second sensor is a spare in case the first one fails (I had another brand where the sensor failed after a few years).

Nice quality, easy to read thermometer! We have had one for many years, and ordered another for my Mom. Straight-forward, easy to see and also gives the highest and lowest temp for the day. Batteries last a long time depending on what kind you use. Easy to place anywhere whether you hand it up or just sit it on a window sill. Looks great without a lot of confusing stuff!

I have purchased several thermometers here over the years, and I will honestly say the Accurite is the only one that reads and reports CORRECT temperature outside. I also have an Accurite weather station and the temps are absolutely synchronous. It matches temperature gauges of the LCRA and the local bank time and temperature. I have found my "go to" brand of outdoor thermometer. I do not work for, nor am asked to endorse this brand. This comes entirely from my own experience. Poo-poo on all the others. I shall stick with this one. Seller was exceptional as well (just threw that in as a side note) If you want a decent outdoor thermometer then I reccomend this brand. This thermometer does well for normal range functions but is not programmed for extreme conditions. The indoor reading bottoms out at 32 degrees. This shouldn't be a problem in most residences, but is you wish to use it in an outside location like a shed or barn, be warned. Second, this morning we had an outdoor temperature of negative 23. The thermometer totally lost it and registered positive 71. This persisted after a complete battery change. I was only able to confirm the temperature with my vehicle thermometers. In short, if you live in moderate conditions, this thermometer is great; however, if you push extremes, look elsewhere.

This has been convenient for checking current temperature outside (which is always a bit different than the weather network) and to keep track of the highs and lows. Seems accurate, depending on where you place the detector. Has also easily persevered through 40C to -30C, and the batteries last for like a year.

I have had two previous temperature monitors and this one is by far the most easy to set up and read , nothing fancy just the temp indoors and out .very good value and has been reliable to date there is a battery level indicator.

Simple design that sits well. Easy to read digits.
