This is a great series
This is a great series for struggling readers. I teach SDC junior high and put this on my desk. Kids want to read it. It has lots of pictures and is appropriate for junior high students. It is in large print and is interesting for me as well. The Who Was biographies and the other What Was? books in the series (like Pearl Harbor) are also high interest for my junior high students.

Thanksgiving read aloud.
I used this book for a thanksgiving read aloud in our homeschool. It was very informative and very fun to read. It also kept my 4th grader and my 1st graders attention.

Accurate and fun to read
This is an ideal book for young children (age 7 to 10) learning about the Pilgrims coming to the New World of in search of religious freedom. It also contains lots of information about the Wampanoag who befriended the Pilgrims and about Thanksgiving history and traditions. Highly recommended.

Good chapter book for 2-5 grades
I don't know why I didn't realize this was a chapter book! I ordered it to read to my class, but realized after ordering it, that it would be a bit over their heads. It was a good read for me to brush up on some history though.

Great series
This book gave so much information on the first thanksgiving! My kids have always been taught the basics but this went way more in depth and was still engaging for them!

Great book
My son really enjoyed this book and had fun learning more about the first Thanksgiving. He is 6 and we read it together. I enjoyed learning more about it with him too. This was a good informative book.
