Awesome awesome awesome... and I hate Cheesecake!
I bought this because I am really into baking and cheesecake, while not my favorite, is a crowd pleaser and a must-have in my arsenal of desserts. I made one of Chef Melanie's recipes and even as a cheesecake hater, I enjoyed it a bit! It was full of chocolate, caramel, and sea salt so I mean, how can you not like it even a little? Well, the people that DO like cheesecake tasted it and were begging me to make more. My girlfriend nursed her personal size cheesecake for days because she didn't want it to be gone!Here's the reason this book is so great. It's super easy to follow even if you've never made a cheesecake before. Chef Melanie very thoughtfully describes each step in detail and gives you the courage you need to attack it head on. I thought for sure I was going to burn my homemade caramel but it came out beautifully. So well in fact I couldn't resist the temptation to grab an apple from the fridge and start dipping slices in it while I waited for the cheesecakes to bake.The pictures are beautiful and the recipe combinations are thoughtful and exciting and run the gamut from savory to sweet. This is a must for any cheesecake lover or any baker in your life that could use a dessert cookbook staple in their home. Hey, maybe if you give it as a gift to your baking friend, they'll return the favor by making you one! :)

You can do it!
Holy crap. I can make cheesecake now. I never made one in my life, and was so intimidated, but I used the advice in the book, psyched myself up, and my very first attempt was honestly perfect. I made the New York Cheesecake, with the pastry crust (which is next level delicious), and finished it with an easy fresh cherry topping from the recipe in the book. I found the way the basics were covered to be very confidence building, and since I came into this with nothing but ambition and the ability to make Kraft Mac and Cheese, I would say this book would be a boon to anyone's kitchen.The only downside is that I posted so many pictures of my gorgeous cheesecake, now everyone is going to know I'm capable of this and expect me to be involved in bake sales. Plus, my husband and I ate the whole thing in one day. #noregrets

Bought this for a cheesecake-loving friend (i mean, who doesn't like cheesecake, but she is particularly obsessed), and decided to make one of them as part of the gift... now, I'm no baker, and I was actually able to manage quite a serviceable specimen. The nice thing about the book was although some of the recipes sound really fancy and impressive, they aren't intimidating or impossible, even for me. I chose the New York style cheesecake and it looked awesome, and was delicious! Seriously impressed my friend. The book has so many recipes that I never would have imagined possible - if you like to get creative this is a great one for you. The savory cheesecakes look amazing, goat cheese and rose, lemon cheesecake bars... seriously i think i need a copy for myself. Needless to say, my friend loved the gift.

A Gamble
Was a gift, and the reactions when skimming through Christmas, was that most of the receipes sounded too weird to try. My daughter loves cheesecake, so hopefully will find a couple she likes.

Make me feel secure to make a cheese cake
It's a very nice and well explained book. It give me basic information how I can create my own cheese cake recipe. ...very nice I would have liked have more modern cheese cake recipe as I can find by pinterest or youtube, but its a very nice start to know how to make different crust...it was very important to me..Every recipe that I had made until now were excelent.......its the best book!!!! Thanks a lot for sharing all your knowledge

Yummy cheesecake book
I don't usually buy cookbooks but this book caught my eye. I have made two recipes from the book and they both have been delicious. The instructions are very simple and easy to follow. My cheesecakes came out exactly like the pictures in the book. I took the Saffron and pistachio to a party and everyone thought I bought it at a bakery! One of the best things about this cookbook is that there is a picture with every recipe so you know what it is supposed to look like.

Perfecto!
I’ve only tried one recipe, & it was delicious. Not too sweet, not too bland, just a perfect balance. The recipe I tried was the Frozen Banana Split Cheesecake Parfait (as seen in photo). As I try more- this rating can go up or down.. Hopefully, there will be more delicious recipes that are accurate* too.

Buen libro, es una introducción a los cheesecake con técnicas e ideas para crearlos. Bonita presentación aunque preferirá que fuera de pasta dura para evitar que se maltrate rápidamente y que tuviera algunas recetas más.
