BAKEMONOGATARI (manga) 3

It stays true to the highly detailed origin of Nisiosin's original Monogatari series, and is very lengthy and has a lot of substance compared to what I originally believed would be done in a manga adaptation. It blew my expectations out of the water with the amazing illustrations and story telling and how true it stayed to the detailed story telling of the original light novel series. It also came in perfect condition.

This manga's beutiful imagery compliments this series perfectly. It even to my mind, slightly improves upon it. I was always a little dissapointed that the compassionate Araragi never got his new friend a bite to eat on the day they met( other than his own flesh). Seeing the little spirit chow down on a burger did my own heart a world of good! Looking forward with high excitement to the next episode!

I don’t know why, but every volume just keeps getting better and the amount of detail is translated in the manga is crazy it’s really close to the light novel I recommend it

I read this entire manga in an afternoon; it introduces Hanekawa, who features prominently on the cover. Hanekawa is able to see & interact with young Mayoi...but Hitagi cannot. This volume continues Mayoi's story trying to find her way back "home", with the aid of Araragi. Despite being on the cover, Hanekawa is only in the story very briefly, the action continuing to center on Mayoi, Hitagi and Araragi. This volume wraps up the initial arc of Mayoi's story. I look forward to the next volume.
