The Mussar Torah Commentary: A Spiritual Path to Living a Meaningful and Ethical Life

I've been reading parasha by parasha, as we get to each one each week, so I've only read a few of the chapters because the book hasn't been out that long. Outstanding writing and insights, ties so neatly to various middot and the Mussar practice in general, and I love that secondary middot are brought in each time. The authors are the highest level current thinkers and Mussar practitioners, and I have been privileged to attend workshops where several of them have presented the material in their own chapters. A perfect intersection of Torah study and Mussar!

I just started reading this book. I love this book I have it on my phone and paperbook.

Although this book is helpful and offers some insights, it is not a serious Torah commentary, at least in the traditional sense.

We study with Rabbi weekly to learn how to act as the Torah instructs us to do. Great learning tool.

I love this moral essay on the holy Torah. The mussar movement has made considerable contributions to the evolving world of Judaism.
