This is my Amazon review for the BLACK+DECKER 5-Cup Coffee Maker with On/Off Switch, Sneak-A-Cup Feature, and Easy-View Water Window, Black. Whether you want just one cup of coffee or 5 cups this is a great little coffee maker, in my opinion. I just purchased this because my son is now a huge coffee fan, and I wanted a quick way to make coffee. This device is small, super easy to clean, makes great tasting coffee, and keeps it warm for a little while. I’m easy to please as long as products work as advertised, and this coffee maker does exactly what it says it does. I know I already wrote it, but I really value how easy this coffee maker is to use and clean afterward. I think it is great. This is a great 5-cup coffee maker. Easy to use and clean. I made coffee using the reusable basket and then with a #2 cone style filter. They both worked great. I chose to use the filters only because of less clean up time. The coffee is hot each time and it fits perfectly on my counter considering I have little space to deal with in my apartment. Great price for what you get. I suppose if you did get more the price would be higher with more complaints about that!

It’s small and it looks like standard Black & Decker equipment, which is usually good. Everything seems sized to OK although I wish the carafe was just a little bit larger in case somebody has leftover water from the previous pot. It’s going to overflow if you fill your car up like I usually do. I didn’t pay enough attention because I really thought all coffee pots, etc. heating things have Auto shut off I was almost trying to cancel this when it was being delivered, but I figured they’d already spent the money to drive it to me. I will try to use it, but I really don’t like that. I think I can get used to it though because I don’t like my appliances plugged in in anyway, as I had a toaster fire one day when nobody was using a toaster for a week or two it just caught so I got in the habit of unplugging still I wish the pot would’ve had that on it as well. I’ve only run Clean water through it a couple of times to clean up and a film from manufacture. I can’t say anything about the speed of the drip so how good the Brewer is going to be there certainly know just for the drip rate at this price. So I guess my first disappointment is the lack of auto shut off my second disappointment is I wish the carsfe was just a little bit oversized 10% just in case. Oh, when I started it for the first time, I thought everything was pretty dry but when it warms up, I could hear all the water spreading on the hot plate and I was like I didn’t spell anything when I put it there. It did it a couple of times, so I really don’t know where that came from. If it does it again then the next run with Clearwater, I’m not going to want it if I did make a spill and I didn’t notice then I’ll find out out quickly. Update the dripping part is a blonde moment lol I noticed a little beak on the cup, but I thought it turned towards the back of the pot. I didn’t notice there was a cut out on the side of the interior pot on the right so when you turn the beak to that notch, everything seals well and there’s no water anywhere so I only have one complaint and a part of a second one. It does need automatic shut off. They should not sell anything that doesn’t have that. The carafe could be just a little bit bigger, but that’s not the old breaker.

I purchased this for my retired mother to replace her 12 cup coffee maker that finally started leaking after a decade or so. She's mentioned how "cute" it is several times. She also loves that it's much easier for her to fill the smaller reservoir. Easier to clean, and makes the perfect amount of coffee for her to have a couple of cups in the morning.

This coffee maker is a great value for the money! I have been using it for a month and I find it to be very durable. It’s perfect for someone with a limited amount of countertop space, or only wants to make a small amount of coffee. Just pour water in the chamber, add coffee grounds to a size 2 coffee filter in the basket, and you’re good to go. Enjoy a great cup of coffee!

I would be tempted to give this device only 4 stars due to the cheesy-feeling thin plastic and almost scary thin glass on the carafe, but I only paid $23 for it and it works perfectly well. What do you expect in this price range? In fact, I priced a replacement carafe (thought it would be good to have a spare on hand in case I break this one), and the carafe alone costs $25! (I'm going to be very careful with this one.) It's a pretty simple device, so not much can go wrong with it. I expect that eventually some thin plastic part (maybe the lid hinge?) will break, but if it lasts a year or two (which seems likely) I'll have gotten my money's worth, because I bought it primarily to compare to the French press we've been using to evaluate which we prefer. (If drip coffee wins out, we can invest in a more sturdy one if and when this one finally gives out.)

Not happy with this coffee maker it over heats and leaks at times. I would return it but I have no car at this time. Ive cleaned it a few times. I also don't have the box .

This coffee maker makes coffee, however, it is otherwise not completely satisfactory. For example, it claims to have that little gizmo that allows you to sneak a cup of coffee—without spilling onto the hot plate—whilst the coffee is still brewing. Well, this gizmo doesn’t work AT ALL. Coffee spills out of the brew basket with abandon once you remove the coffee pot. Also, the cup measures on the coffee pot and the cup measures on the machine’s water tank do not match. Putting aside evaporation and the fact that some water always remains in the tank, the difference between four cups in the tank and four cups in the pot is annoyingly noticeable. Still, this little machine makes my coffee in the morning and for that I am grateful.

The on off switch was permanently on and now it does not work. Only used thrice. Amazon promised a call and it has not happened.

This coffee maker exceeds my expectations! 5 cup size is perfect for my needs - makes 2 mugs on 5-cup setting. I love the ease of filling the water tank, easy to place and remove the coffee filter. The glass carafe has a nice ergonomically handle, easy to remove the lid and fit back, and has an excellent pouring tip when pouring coffee out, no dripping at all. Best of all, it makes a really hot cup of coffee (unlike other cheaper coffee maker). It is worth buying if you don't want to go high end or spend a lot if money for a 5-cup size coffee maker. I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend buying.

I really enjoy this coffee maker. Perfect for my coffee. It says five cups but really good for three full cups. I love that it is compact and fits just right on my counter without taking up much space. I would definately buy this again.

Space saving design, takes up minimal counter real estate. Really like the design of the carafe. Does what it is intended to do - brew a cup of coffee! Pour the water, pop in your filter and coffee, click the on button - easy peezy. Good to make coffee for 2 people, not the fastest but by the time I finish brushing my teeth and toasting my breakfast, it's ready so I don't mind. Saw some reviews about making a small cup of coffee... that's because we all drink out of giant mugs now 😅 my Starbucks "You Are Here" collection mug is equivalent to 3 cups of coffee on this machine (same as other drip machines I've used). No auto shut off from what I've seen. If there is one it's definitely beyond an hour or two. It has the sneak a cup feature, which does work but you just need to pull it forward first so it releases the trigger, and after half a second then pull the carafe out. That will ensure you don't get remaining drips that started before you pulled the carafe onto the warmer plate. I do think this was overpriced when I purchased it ($35 CAD) but it seems nothing can be saved from inflation lol. I buy the Melitta small (2-5 cup) basket coffee filters from Canadian Tire at about $3 a bag for 100 filters. They don't seem to sell small basket filters really on Amazon anymore.

Have been using this for about a month of daily use and this machine works perfectly. Coffee brews well however it does brew a little slow, but not an issue for me. Easy to clean as the water reservoir does not have any weird nooks or crannies. Doesn’t take up much counter space and the cord is a decent length. The carafe is cute and almost retro looking which is why I bought it. I highly recommend this machine!
